This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled technician who enjoys variety, thrives on problem solving, and takes pride in delivering high quality workmanship. Working across a diverse fleet, you'll help ensure our assets remain safe, compliant, and operational, enabling our teams to continue providing essential services to customers and communities.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage the full lifecycle of fleet and plant assets, including introducing new equipment into the business, commissioning and decommissioning assets, and ensuring they remain fit for purpose and deliver maximum value.
  • Service, maintain and repair a diverse range of fleet and plant assets, including LCVs, 4x4 vehicles, pumps, trailers and grounds maintenance equipment, delivering high quality, cost effective solutions across the fleet.
  • Carry out advanced fault finding and diagnostics using electronic systems and computer based software to identify and resolve vehicle and equipment defects.
  • Prepare vehicles and equipment for MOT inspections while ensuring full compliance with Ministry of Transport legislation, health and safety requirements and company standards.
  • Participate in flexible working arrangements, standby duties and callout rotas to support the ongoing needs of the business.

What We're Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Repair and Maintenance, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience maintaining and repairing LCVs and plant equipment, with at least three years' experience delivering mechanical servicing and repairs in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong expertise in vehicle electrical systems and computer based fault diagnosis.
  • Full UK driving licence

Why This Role

As an LCV Plant Technician, you'll play a vital role in keeping the vehicles and equipment that support essential water and wastewater services operating safely, efficiently and reliably. This is a varied, hands on role where no two days are the same, offering the opportunity to work across a broad range of fleet and plant assets while developing your technical expertise.

You'll join a supportive team that values safety, quality and continuous improvement, with opportunities to gain additional qualifications and expand your skills. Most importantly, the work you do will have a direct impact on delivering services that millions of customers rely on every day.

Benefits:

  • 26 days’ annual leave, rising by one day for each completed holiday year (served up to a maximum of 30days) plus 8 bank holidays
  • Competitive pension with up to 14% employer contribution and life cover
