About the Role
As a Customer Advisor Advanced (Developer Services & Metering), you’ll be the first point of contact for customers, developers and internal colleagues, providing expert advice and solutions across a wide range of developer services activities. This is a varied, fast‑paced role ideal for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, building relationships and taking ownership of customer queries from start to finish.
You’ll combine frontline customer service with coordinated back‑office support, ensuring applications, enquiries and jobs progress efficiently and within agreed performance standards
What You'll be Doing
- Handling inbound telephone enquiries related to water and wastewater processes
- Booking and progressing new development applications
- Raising and managing work orders for engineering teams
- Managing multiple shared mailboxes, prioritising and actioning requests efficiently
- Taking customer payments and raising sales orders and invoices
- Coordinating plot and address data with customers and Data & Knowledge Management teams
- Supporting colleagues across Customer Operations with advice and guidance
- Monitoring and meeting business KPIs, ensuring a consistently high standard of service
What We’re Looking For
You’ll bring strong customer service experience, a proactive mindset and the confidence to manage complex queries over the phone. You’ll be organised, detail‑focused and comfortable working with a range of systems.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Sound understanding of water and wastewater developer services processes
- Proven experience in a customer‑facing environment
- Knowledge of water and wastewater asset records
- Strong system experience, including ICS, SAP, UU GIS, Onemap and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem‑solving skills
- Experience working with contractors or external partners
- Understanding of D‑MeX performance measures
- Knowledge of Alto/Walto
