Job Description

For TUIfly GmbH at the Langenhagen location near Hannover, we are looking for a Working student (m/f/d) Environmental Sustainability - Water Management for 6 months.

Due to the Christmas season, the process will be delayed. We appreciate your understanding and will get back to you as soon as possible.

This position offers the possibility of remote working with with limited office presence and business travel as required

Environmental Sustainability is a function within our airline organisation. The Environmental Sustainability team works as a coordinating programme- and project management team on environmental initiatives. We are committed to improving the environmental impact of TUI Airline, and in this role, you can actively support these efforts.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Establish direct annual fresh water consumption for TUI Airline at all functions and all locations for operations, maintenance and administration
  • Identify the key drivers for indirect water consumption in relation to our products and services procured from our suppliers
  • Develop ways to continuously and automatically collect such water consumption data for the airline in the future
  • Propose concrete ideas to lower the fresh water consumption at TUI Airline based on the collected data and initial benchmarks
  • Build up a water consumption reporting, potentially via the group reporting tool Sphera
  • Ad hoc support of the Environmental Sustainability team

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience working in an analytical capacity ideally relating to collecting environment footprint data
  • Experience of collecting, analysing and interpreting resource consumption data
  • A passion and creativity to implement sustainability initiatives in a corporate environment
  • Insightful appreciation of the formal and informal influences and structures within an organisation
  • Cultural sensitivity, with experience of working as part of a pan-European team
  • Able to operate as a trusted partner to multiple source markets, and to influence the application of common solutions and best practice in all airlines
  • Strong business English is mandatory and fluency in other European languages an advantage
