
Working student (m/f/d) Environmental Sustainability Decarbonization
Job Description
We're looking for a Working Student (m/f/d) to join our Environmental Sustainability Decarbonization Team at TUIfly GmbH.
In this exciting role, you'll help us actively shape the future of sustainable aviation. The position is available for 6 months and is based in Langenhagen, but can be performed remotely/hybrid.
The role will be published until 22 May. The role may be closed earlier due to a high number of applicants.

ABOUT THE JOB
- Conduct structured reviews of scientific literature and present analyses on topics related to aviation sustainability and decarbonisation
- Analyse the impact of fuel efficiency initiatives and operational improvements at aircraft mission level
- Support decarbonisation reporting processes, including understanding regulatory requirements and helping establish robust data flows
- Collect, manage and archive data from ongoing scientific research projects
- Analyse datasets and compile clear, insightful outputs for internal stakeholders
- Support the preparation of presentations and reports to communicate key findings
ABOUT YOU
- Currently pursuing a degree in an aviation-related or relevant technical/scientific field
- Experience in data analytics and visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau or similar)
- Strong programming skills, particularly in Python
- Demonstrated interest in aviation decarbonisation, with foundational knowledge in: CO₂ and non-CO₂ emissions, sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), and operational pathways to net-zero
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and evaluate options
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Confident working with diverse stakeholders in a multicultural environment
- Fluent in business English, both written and verbal
