Job Description

This role sits within Product Design in our Sales Solutions Division and reports to a Design Lead.

You will drive measurable customer and commercial outcomes across TUI’s digital sales channels by applying rigorous, research-led and data-informed design thinking to end-to-end experiences. You’ll own design across a key part of the sales journey — pre-booking, booking, or post-booking — across web, app, and retail-supported channels, working within the strategic direction set by your Design Lead.

This role is for a designer who combines high-quality craft with strong analytical thinking: someone as comfortable framing problems through research and funnel analysis as they are refining interaction patterns, and who thrives in a product organisation actively evolving how it builds and measures value.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Own design across a defined product area — from problem definition and discovery through to delivery and optimisation — ensuring design decisions are explicitly connected to product strategy, customer needs, and commercial objectives.
  • Apply structured design thinking methodologies to frame problems, generate hypotheses, and explore solutions — grounding decisions in qualitative research, quantitative data, and business context.
  • Design high-quality interfaces and interaction patterns that are usable, accessible, and commercially effective, contributing to and evolving TUI’s design system to ensure consistency at scale.
  • Use research and data as core inputs, not validation after the fact — partnering on user research, interrogating analytics, interpreting live performance data, and translating insights into clear design actions.
  • Think beyond individual screens or features, understanding how your product area fits within the end-to-end sales journey, where key commercial levers sit, and how design decisions impact conversion, retention, and long-term customer value.
  • Act as a strong design partner within your product team — influencing prioritisation, shaping problem statements, and collaborating closely with Product and Engineering to define what gets built and why.
  • Measure outcomes — defining success metrics with your team, evaluating design impact post-launch, and iterating based on evidence rather than opinion.

ABOUT YOU

  • You have a strong portfolio of digital product design work that demonstrates end-to-end ownership — including discovery, research, decision-making, trade-offs, and measurable outcomes, not just polished UI.
  • You are an accomplished product designer with a high bar for UX & UI quality, and you can clearly explain why design decisions were made, supported by research insights and data.
  • You have experience owning design across meaningful product areas or journeys, working within cross-functional product teams where designers are expected to influence strategy and outcomes, not just execution.
  • You are fluent in working with evidence — comfortable analysing user research, behavioural data, conversion metrics, and commercial performance to identify problems, test hypotheses, and assess impact.
  • You understand and actively use design systems to accelerate delivery and maintain coherence, while knowing when thoughtful evolution is required.
  • You design with implementation in mind — you understand front-end technologies, platform constraints, and delivery trade-offs well enough to collaborate effectively with engineers and make pragmatic, scalable decisions.
  • You are deeply curious about both customers and the business, and motivated by improving experiences in ways that can be demonstrably measured and validated.
