The Ground Operations function operates as a multi-disciplinary team of experts driving efficiency and innovation across all aspects of Ground Operations.

As Ground Operations Process Coordinator, your focus will be to provide planning and analytical support for improvement initiatives, utilising a wide range of improvement tools and methodologies that advance the continuous improvement culture within Ground Operations. The Ground Operations Process Coordinator plans, analyses and executes improvement initiatives and evaluates the impact of improvement efforts in order to achieve the Ground Operations business strategy.

This opportunity is initially offered on a Fixed Term Contract basis for 12 months. We are happy to consider this role on a hybrid working model basis with an average of 2 days per week based in the office. Some minimal travel will also be required.
In this role, you’ll report to the Ground Support Manager.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Execute complex data analysis to support leadership decision making in a variety of subject matter areas
  • Provide analysis of Ground Operations data for projects
  • Identify, analyse and support the design and successful implementation of profitable, effective and customer-oriented solutions based on the business requirements
  • Track and evaluate improvement in process and outcome metrics, establishing sustainable solutions for continuous improvement
  • Design presentations that distil and communicate analytical and observational findings to stakeholders, including creating figures and diagrams to illustrate operations
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with all levels of staff, from leadership to front line personnel
  • Facilitate workgroups and adhoc meetings in demonstrated expertise areas to a variety of stakeholders
  • Utilise project management skills to support initiatives covering scope and timeline, tracking deliverables and timelines, meeting preparation activities, presentation preparation
  • Partner with platform service functions and other business units to create differentiated value propositions leveraging the complete portfolio of TUI IT tools, solutions and services
  • Monitor and improve execution and effectiveness of digitalisation programs and work on integrating new digital technologies in our department
  • Develop and implement all necessary policies and procedures to facilitate end-to-end management control and to ensure that all internal operations achieve their business objectives
  • Lead the development and management of systems for robust monitoring, budget control, reporting and delivery of TUI Airline Ground Operations
  • Participate in and contributing to departmental improvement initiatives or independently lead, manage and execute process improvement initiatives
  • Identify safety & security risks and ensure they are reported via IQSMS. In case of X3 operations, whenever assigned as Informed Responsible, support the responsible SAM with the investigation as subject matter expert

ABOUT YOU

  • A strategic thinker with a comprehensive understanding and experience within Ground Operations including managing successful business improvement projects
  • Experienced in defining analytical / research projects, analysing data, modelling and generating practical insights and recommendations
  • Able to independently identify and solve project related problems
  • Superior verbal / written communication & data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams, using e-mail, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint (or equivalent applications)
  • Highly motivated and willing to take on multiple responsibilities at once
  • Resourceful and capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems and delivering results in challenging situations independently
  • Highly innovative problem solver: possessing strong interpersonal, multi-tasking, organisational and project planning skills and demonstrating ability to meet deadlines
  • Fast learner who adapts well to a fast-moving environment, combines creativity, problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude to overcome any obstacle
  • Role requires strong business English, both spoken and written, and may involve some international travel
