As Marketing Assistant (known internally as a Brand Marketing Executive) you’ll be a key member of our crew. A brand guardian, helping to ensure we keep to Marella Cruises’ true north and steer towards the shores of success. You’ll be sailing with the Marketing Manager, colleagues, and partner agencies as we sing shanties of consistency, distinction, and value – our guiding stars. Getting on board with a nautical pun is beneficial but by no means essential.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • As Marketing Executive you’ll be responsible for the creation and maintenance of assets, guidelines, templates and toolkits, ensuring that all things Marella look and feel tip top.
  • Supporting the Marketing Manager across all channels and campaigns, you’ll ensure coordination and consistency of the brand. Through post campaign analysis and reports, you’ll be monitoring the performance of all marketing activity to share with senior stakeholders, and you’ll provide governance for marketing working groups taking ownership of meetings, documentation and actions.
  • You’ll be the cruise marketing go-to for channels, providing briefs and approvals where required as well as being responsible for updating brand elements for all online and offline owned channels including web, CRM, Retail Marketing, 3rd party activity, loyalty scheme, TDA, Cruise Control, Navigate, In-flight entertainment, onboard digital signage and point of sale materials, training, internal materials, shore excursions, onboard partners and more.
  • From an onboard Marketing/Branding perspective you’ll manage seasonal print reviews and ordering (twice yearly) – approx 75 uniquely designed branded items, and you’ll be tasked with making sustainable changes and cost efficiencies where possible. You’ll own the creation of onboard assets, guidelines and content banks, and you’ll provide guidelines and approval to our onboard revenue partners to ensure all onboard marketing meets brand standards.
  • And last but not least, you’ll be providing administrative and ad-hoc project support to the team in respect of brand partnerships and projects.
  • Some out of hours’ work and overseas travel may be required on occasion for things like campaign management and shoots.

ABOUT YOU

  • A good understanding of the cruise industry, or a passion to learn, with a love of travel.
  • Experience of planning and delivering marketing campaigns is desirable, but not required.
  • Excellent attention to detail, teamed with creative flair and an eye for design.
  • Organised, responsive and able to remain focused under pressure.
  • Deals well with ambiguity, flexible to respond to changing needs/priorities.
  • Good communicator with strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Team player with the ability to build strong cross team/divisional relationships
