
Manager of Ground Operations and Airports Procurement
Job Description
As our Manager of Ground Operations and Airports Procurement, you'll lead medium to high value procurement projects while building supplier relationships that optimize value across TUI Airline's ground operations and airport services, working flexibly across categories to support our global network.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- You'll build subject matter expertise in ground operations and airports, obtaining market intelligence and analyzing developments to identify savings opportunities while reviewing supplier quality and performance.
- You'll manage the procurement process for medium to high value projects, leading negotiations with operational stakeholders while evaluating requests and challenging suppliers to provide innovative solutions.
- You'll oversee medium-to-high value contracts throughout their lifecycle, providing guidance on contractual matters while supporting operational departments in ongoing supplier management activities.
- You'll manage escalated contractual claims and disputes, developing long-term supplier relationships through regular performance reviews and analysis of operational risks based on market intelligence.
- You'll develop internal and external networks across SM&P, TUI Airline colleagues and suppliers, ensuring optimal outcomes while working flexibly across categories to support team workload.
- You'll undertake business travel for internal purposes and supplier visits, with the flexibility to work from home when not needed in the office as work is something you do, not somewhere you go.
ABOUT YOU
- You have a relevant a CIPS qualification or equivalent professional experience, with a Master's degree being desirable but not essential.
- You bring proven experience in procurement with a track record of managing projects, planning delivery and coordinating inputs from different stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
- You're highly proficient in English with knowledge of other languages being desirable, and possess a commercial mindset that continually evaluates costs and benefits.
- You have strong numeric and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail, able to identify key drivers in any scenario and challenge assumptions creatively.
- You possess good understanding of contractual legal terms and conditions with effective communication skills to tailor messaging for different stakeholders.
- You're skilled in negotiation, influencing and persuading, able to build relationships and deliver results across diverse teams and cultures.
