ABOUT THE JOB
- Report directly to the Head of UK Accounting & Reporting, providing effective Financial Accounting & Reporting services to internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead the preparation of approximately 30 UK & Irish statutory audits ranging from small to large multi-billion turnover entities.
- Project manage the entire UK&I external audit process, serving as the key contact for the external audit team and coordinating information flow.
- Oversee the production and submission of all regulatory reporting for CAA/ABTA/IAA compliance.
- Support period-end close activities and address technical accounting issues in line with group accounting policies.
- Champion effective balance sheet control and implement best practice reconciliation processes across all areas.
ABOUT YOU
- You're a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with extensive post-qualification experience at a comparable level.
- You have expert knowledge of UK financial statements preparation in accordance with IFRS (including FRS 101), Companies Act 2006 and relevant accounting standards.
- You possess strong technical accounting and analytical skills with a proven track record in a similar position.
- You're experienced with ERP systems, preferably SAP ECC.
- You're a proactive team leader who can effectively manage others to meet demanding organizational requirements.
- You have excellent organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple competing deadlines and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
