Job Description

*The position offers the opportunity for hybrid working with a combination of home office and office presence.*

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Coordination and management of the specific risk assessment for the Group
  • Leadership of the Group Corporate Insurances team
  • Communication and presentation of Group strategy upwards (to the TUI leadership team and MD´s of markets/entity’s) and downwards to local insurance experts
  • Group-wide risk analysis, potentials, probabilities of occurrence – and (financial) valuation
  • Steering of actuarial calculations, development of renewal strategies
  • Conceptual development and systematic creation of international coverage concepts, taking into account all existing local laws, tax and compliance-relevant regulations, economic aspects as well as structural, political, strategic and operational considerations
  • Development of the insurance policy of the TUI Group and structuring of insurance contracts by means of international concepts (aggregates, masters, drop downs, vertical placements, stop loss, etc.)
  • Allocation of cost to group entity’s
  • Benchmarks and market analyses for the entire TUI Group in cooperation with brokers and insurers
  • Legal development of individual and TUI-specific global insurance program and terms and conditions
  • Steering of the insurance broker and relationship management
  • Coordination with brokers, management of the (international) broker network
  • Major Loss Management to provides businesses with the benefit of having one point of contact for their insurance claim
  • Organization and leading of Roadshows, Underwriter Meetings, Contract Negotiations
  • TUI´s Captive Management – Control of activity’s, improvement of setup and guidance of the captive employees

ABOUT YOU

  • Completed studies (economics / law desirable) or comparable insurance-relevant training, but at least basic knowledge of international contract law required
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of international insurance business (proven by insurance or brokerage activities)
  • Strong knowledge in the areas of liability, property and business interruption insurance worldwide, proven by relevant professional experience
  • Strong knowledge in the field of aviation insurance, proven by appropriate professional experience
  • In-depth knowledge of D&O to protect board members, managers, and employees in defending against claims made by shareholders or third parties for alleged wrongdoing
  • Knowledge of personal insurance desirable
  • Knowledge in Captive management
  • Fluent in English, other languages are an advantage
  • Presentation skills, negotiation skills, strong communication skills, project management
  • Willingness to travel
