Job Description

As Global Product Development Manager, you will lead the strategic development and growth of Intercruises global portfolio of shore excursions, working closely with Key Account Management and local Business Development teams in responding to cruise line requirements and interpreting those into new shoreside experiences. In addition, you will oversee the conceptualization, evolution and promotion of own product lines, including our flagship line of National Geographic Day Tours (NGDT), delivering profitable growth. You will be responsible for the maintenance of Intercruises’ worldwide product and content portfolio and drive innovation and excellence in product development as a key component for strategic growth

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Work with the Key Account Managers and Business Development teams to understand and craft experiences in accordance with cruise lines requirements. Actively work on consolidating the portfolio to maximize efficiencies.

  • Lead strategic projects that will include ‘own concept’ initiatives, innovations in technology, content and portfolio management as well as product lines that span across multiple countries and destinations.
  • Monitor trends within the cruise industry and support local teams in the development of innovative experiences based on either cruise line requirements or own product initiatives.
  • Set-up Product Development roadmaps by destination and tools to track (including timing and priorities). Monitor and oversee the implementation with local teams, validating that proposals meet the criteria.
  • Lead the development of NGDP, including Offer Development/Creation and collaborating cross-functionally on all Product/Tech, Sales & Marketing, Operations, L&D and Finance requirements.
  • Maintain and continue to develop business relationships with strategic partners (i.e. National Geographic).
  • Pursue opportunities on the development of experiences based on asset investments and collaborate with Marketing on the showcasing of global product initiatives.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing/ Internation Business field

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience within the cruise industry, especially in the management and development of shore excursions and overland programs.
  • Demonstrated strategic capability and creative thinking. You will be decisive, visionary, and able to support your decisions with research.
  • Proven track record in successfully designing, developing, and implementing product or business model related initiatives through excellent Project Management skills.
  • Good collaborator, inspirational leader, and diplomat. You will build relationships and influence a variety of stakeholders at different levels of seniority and in different locations and be able to represent the brand.
  • You will be a tenacious self-starter who is skilled at anticipating and overcoming challenges in a way that is consistent with Intercruises values.
  • Fluent English language, both verbal and written. Any additional language advantageous
