Job Description


The Flight Crew Demand & Slip Senior Specialist ensures accurate manpower planning by building and adjusting demand plans and slip patterns. They align plans with operational needs, (re)budget timelines, and dynamic changes from Aviation Planning while maintaining up-to-date IT tools, they decide on the different scenarios to test and make decisions with large cost and resource implications.

We are happy to consider this opportunity on a hybrid working model with an average of 2 days per week in the office/or in line with local office attendance requirements (whichever is higher). International travel should be expected a couple of days per month.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Support the creation and maintenance of detailed Flight Crew demand plans by gathering, analysing, and validating data related to flying programs, fleet changes, and operational plans
  • Incorporate variables such as leave, standby, training, sickness, and inefficiencies into the Flight Crew demand plan, ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory, and industrial agreements
  • Build and adjust slip patterns and master weeks for Flight Crew as required, ensure a thorough handover process is in place across all AOCs
  • Support the development of confidential 'what-if' scenario planning by preparing accurate data inputs, running simulations, and analysing the potential impact on Flight Crew demand
  • Collaborate with operations, training, HR, and other departments to ensure Flight Crew demand aligns with broader manpower planning objectives
  • Act as a key contributor to union negotiations at the AOC level by attending regular union meetings and providing manpower planning expertise
  • Support the development of leave quotas and training delivery plans, ensuring alignment with operational requirements and fostering collaborative, data-driven decision-making in a highly sensitive and unionised environment
  • Support and maintain IT tools used for Flight Crew Demand calculation, ensuring they are consistently updated with accurate data and aligned with operational requirements
  • Monitor changes in demand driven primarily by Aviation Planning updates, and re-budget the demand accordingly. Recommend and implement adjustments to ensure alignment with operational requirements

ABOUT YOU

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence
  • Sound organisational and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical skills, both in process and report domains
  • Experience in Manpower Planning preferably within the Aviation industry
  • Understanding of local labour regulations and contractual agreements in the aviation sector
  • Strong business English, both spoken and written. Will involve some international travel
