Finance is a function within our airline organisation responsible for the key financial activities within the regions. The TUI Airline Finance function operates as a multi-disciplinary team of experts driving efficiency and innovation.

As Finance Analyst Western Region Airline you will support the Head of Finance Western Region with the analysis of the Western Region P&L, not only actual analysis but also in the forecasting, budgeting and 3-year strategic plan process.
You will also play a key role within the Western Region Airline Finance Team

The role can be based in Rijswijk or Brussels.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Finance Analyst Western Region Airline, you will be responsible for :

• Monthly analysis of the actuals costs & revenue versus the forecast and budgeted figures. Explain main variances and detect any trends for the differences.
• Assist the TUI Airline forecast, budget and 3YP planning and strategy process to focus on key strategic areas from a local point of view and assist in those areas regarding the function led approach
• Cooperate with the local accounting team in the follow up of the monthly closing process and look for improvements to speed up closing process
• Assist in developing a monthly finance report for the local management taken into account the function led approach
• Set up a monthly analysis tool for our ad hoc flying and other ancillary revenu
• Promoting a culture of risk awareness, control focus, and ‘doing the right thing’
• Support specific ad-hoc project activities
• Supporting and driving a culture of strong financial controls, compliance, and adherence to regulatory frameworks;
• General ledger management


ABOUT YOU

• Part/nearly qualified accountant or European high school or university degree in business administration or similar, preferably with a focus on finance or controlling, and a couple years of experience working in finance/controlling
• Keen desire to develop and learn about the area
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Strong organizational skills
• Good analysis and presentational skills
• Ability to present confidently to senior stakeholders
• Excellent analytical, communication and influencing skills (both written and oral)
• Role requires strong business English, both spoken and written, and may involve some travel between Brussels and Rijswijk
