Job Description

As Chief Information Officer Airline Tech, you will lead the digital transformation of TUI Airline, driving innovation, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction through cutting-edge technology. This global leadership role is pivotal in aligning airline operations with the broader TUI Group technology strategy, ensuring seamless integration, efficiency, and resilience across all systems. You will be at the forefront of shaping the airline’s digital agenda, enabling smart airports, connected aircraft, and AI-powered solutions that enhance both performance and sustainability. As a key member of the management team, you will influence strategic decisions, foster a high-performing tech culture, and ensure TUI Airline remains a leader in digital aviation.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Lead TUI Airline's technology strategy, positioning us as a digital innovator while ensuring alignment with TUI Group vision and regulatory compliance.
  • Spearhead our digital transformation through innovative initiatives that enhance customer experiences and operational efficiency, implementing AI solutions, smart airports, and data-driven strategies.
  • Strategically manage a sizeable technology portfolio, optimising resources and driving efficiencies while delivering exceptional technology services.
  • Ensure reliability, performance, and cybersecurity of mission-critical airline systems through advanced threat intelligence and proactive defences.
  • Collaborate with Supplier Management & Procurement to manage relationships with key technology suppliers, ensuring service excellence and competitive advantage across our technology ecosystem.
  • Build and lead a lean, high-performing technology team, fostering innovation and technical excellence.
  • Provide strategic technology counsel to TUI Airline leadership, translating complex technical concepts into clear business opportunities.

ABOUT YOU

  • You bring extensive senior leadership experience in technology management, within the airline or travel industry.
  • You have a proven track record of leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives and managing substantial technology budgets.
  • You demonstrate strong experience in building strategic relationships with technology vendors, and leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • You possess deep knowledge of airline operations and systems.
  • You're a forward-thinking leader with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence at executive level.
  • You thrive in rapidly changing technological landscapes with a passion for innovation and emerging technologies.
