Job Description

As Airworthiness Engineer you will provide oversight of the continuing airworthiness of individual aircraft through the issue of Airworthiness Review Certificates (ARC). Provide oversight of internal and contracted Part 145 maintenance organisations and endorse the recommendations put forward by the organisation ensuring continuing airworthiness tasks meet the standards required by Part CAMO/M. You will also provide subcontracted Part CAMO/M responsibilities for contracted 3rd Party Operators and contribute towards & promote TUI Airways as an innovative and World Class Airline.

Although your contractual base of work will be Luton and some duties will need to be carried out onsite, we are also open to considering a hybrid working model, where some of your work may also be undertaken remotely.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Carry out Airworthiness Reviews in accordance with Part M Subpart I
  • Aircraft record reviews
  • Aircraft physical surveys
  • Managing allocated aircraft to ensure ARC’s are issued in a timely manner
  • When individually approved & as required, identify flight conditions, apply to the UK CAA, and issue Permits to Fly using TUI Airways Permit to Fly approval
  • Assist with the new delivery of aircraft, the transfer of aircraft within the TUI Group, and End of Lease as required
  • Produce and maintain procedures, means and methods ensuring compliance with the CAME and Part M/CAMO requirements Actively control and endorse the standards of continuing airworthiness management tasks consistent with Part M/CAMO
  • Ensure legislation changes pertaining to continuing airworthiness are reviewed and changes implemented
  • Ensure the aircraft remain compliant with any new Airworthiness Directives / Mandatory Requirements

ABOUT YOU

  • Will hold / or have previously held a SRG 1769 (or equivalent) for full Airworthiness Review approval (ARC Signatory) meeting the required criteria of Part CAMO, CAMO.A.310
  • Good knowledge of Part M/CAMO, Part 145, Part 147 & Part 21, maintaining currency in the industry through journals, publications etc
  • Good IT skills & good working knowledge of TUI Airways’ operating system (AMOS)
  • Ability to plan and organise in a methodical and analytical manner
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and achieve results
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of a range of techniques to manage process change & quality improvement
  • Excellent oral, written & presentation skills in English
  • Financial awareness
