Job description

This internship brings together the best of general merchandise and fashion under one roof. It’s all about helping you grow into a future leader in buying and merchandising—while working with great people, developing exciting products, and working on real commercial challenges. Salary: £26,000 Programme start date: 14 June 2027 Create product ranges for our stores—from cosy home textiles to stylish accessories and seasonal must-haves Collaborate with F&F, our in-house clothing brand, to learn how fashion trends and customer tastes shape what we offer Build strong relationships with suppliers, managing contracts, and making sure the right products land in the right place at the right time This section is here to help you get a feel for what each scheme is about and what might suit you best. Don’t worry if you don’t have all the skills listed - we don’t expect you to. We’re looking for potential, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. We’ll support you to build the rest. An interest in how things work — from idea to delivery — is really useful A curious mind and enjoying seeing a plan come together is something we value You might work with data to help inform decisions, but experience isn’t essential You might know us as a supermarket, technology company or even for our award-winning mobile network. Truth is, we’re all those things, and much more. Our colleagues work with one goal in mind, helping to make every day a little better for our customers, colleagues and communities all over the world. No two customers are the same, neither are our colleagues. At Tesco, we champion a balance that lets you thrive both in and out of work. Spend 60% of your week collaborating with colleagues at our office locations or local sites and the rest remotely. Whether you're just kicking off your career, juggling passions, or navigating big life events, we're here to support you. We always welcome a conversation about flexible working, so talk to us throughout your application about how we can support. We're proud to be an accredited Disability Confident Leader, where everyone’s welcome. That’s why we commit to providing a fully inclusive and accessible recruitment process. If you need support with your application, click here for more information. And if you're interested in joining our team but don't tick every box, don't let that hold you back from applying. Working at our Welwyn Garden City campus Our leafy, green campus is just 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of Welwyn Garden City with its many shops, restaurants, pubs and sports facilities. Close to the A1, and with frequent trains running to Finsbury Park in just 20 minutes (free shuttle buses take you between the station and office), the campus is well connected to the surrounding area. On campus, you’ll find subsidised restaurants and coffee shops, as well as a Tesco Express to pick up your lunch or last-minute essentials. You can join the on-site Nuffield Health gym, which has state-of-the-art fitness equipment, two studios for group classes, plus treatment rooms (membership costs £23.50 per month).
