We’re looking for a MI and Reporting Developer to join our Insurance Money and Services team.
You’ll play a key role in redefining how we capture, interpret, and deliver data across the business, ensuring analytics are accurate, accessible, and aligned to our evolving strategy. This is a unique opportunity to influence our future approach to reporting, analytics standards, and ways of working as we modernise our data platform.
Embedded within a cross functional product team, the insight you generate will support real time operational and strategic decisions in a fast paced insurance environment. You’ll collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, helping to strengthen data driven decision making and shaping how analytics supports the wider organisation.
• Join a growing team at a pivotal moment. As our data landscape evolves, your skills and fresh thinking will directly influence our direction and maturity. • More than BAU—this is an opportunity to build. Instead of simply maintaining existing reports, you’ll help redesign, automate, and enhance our analytics estate, creating scalable and modern solutions. • Make a visible impact. Your work will be recognised, valued, and directly linked to improvements in performance, decision making, and business outcomes. • Gain exposure to cross functional projects. You’ll contribute to broader data transformation initiatives and work with Engineers, Product Managers, and SMEs to deliver meaningful change. • A culture of continuous learning. You’ll have the chance to upskill in new tools, experiment with emerging analytical techniques, and be part of an environment that encourages curiosity and innovation.
What you’ll be doing • Support and run regular MI processes. Ensure recurring reports, dashboards, and data checks are delivered accurately and on time, helping maintain the smooth running of the MI function. • Provide day to day analytical support. Work closely with the Senior Analyst to investigate data issues, produce ad hoc insight, and contribute to continuous improvements across reporting. • Help maintain and improve reporting outputs. Assist in updating and refining existing dashboards, visuals, and datasets using tools such as Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, with opportunities to develop deeper technical skills over time. • Build strong relationships with stakeholders. Act as a first point of contact for business queries, helping teams understand their data, interpreting results, and ensuring insight is accessible and meaningful. • Support data quality and consistency. Work with wider data colleagues to ensure reporting outputs are accurate, reliable, and aligned with agreed standards. • Assist with light coding and data manipulation. Use SQL, DAX, or Fabric pipelines (with support from senior team members) to prepare datasets, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to analytical development.
We need you to have • Strong Excel capability with experience using formulas, lookups, pivots, and general data manipulation to support regular reporting and ad hoc analysis. • Analytical mindset and problem solving ability, including spotting data issues, validating results, and providing clear, logical insight. • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to build relationships, understand business questions, and present data in a simple and accessible way. • A growth mindset with good organisational skills — reliable in managing recurring tasks, meeting deadlines, and willing to learn tools such as SQL, DAX, and Microsoft Fabric over time.
And if you have any of these, even better • Exposure to data visualisation tools. Some experience using Power BI (or similar tools) to build or update basic reports, dashboards, or visuals. • Experience working with data in a business environment. Comfortable handling datasets, checking data quality, and following structured processes. • Experience working with commercial or operational data, with an understanding of how it supports business performance, decision making, and customer outcomes. • Exposure to automation tools or the Power Platform (e.g., Power Automate, Power Apps), with the ability to streamline manual tasks or support simple workflow improvements.
We don’t expect you to tick every box, and if you feel you hit most of the brief, it’s worth exploring to further develop your career here with us.
What’s in it for you • Prepare for your retirement with our colleague pension scheme. • Private Medical Insurance (WL2+) and virtual GP Service you and your family 365 days a year. • Performance related annual bonus. • Indulge in a generous holiday allowance with a minimum of 7.2 weeks, with the opportunity to buy more. • Embrace the benefits of our Colleague Clubcard, enjoy a 10% discount that increase to 15% every payday (worth up to 2K). As an added perk, we’ll give you a second card to share with someone else. • Benefit from our family-oriented initiatives, encompassing enhanced maternity leave pay, a shared parental leave policy, and a generous 8-week paid paternity leave. • A place to get on - take advantage of our ongoing learning opportunities and award-winning training, to help you achieve the job and career you want. • Take part in our Buy as you Earn and Save as your Earn share schemes.
