What you'll build


As a Working Student in the SAP Certification Transformation team, you will contribute to building and improving certification programs that empower learners worldwide to showcase their SAP expertise through innovative, performance-based formats. You will play a key role in supporting projects that enhance how certifications validate practical skills required for SAP professionals in the age of AI.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the implementation of scenario-based certifications, including establishing and improving a process where learners submit video recordings for human review.
  • Evolving system-based certifications, via different projects i.e. conducting a case study on the use of SQL in SAP HANA exams to identify best practices and create transferable methods.
  • Collaborating with the Certification team across strategic initiatives and helping operationalize innovative skill-validation formats.


Your contributions will help make SAP certifications more meaningful and accessible, enabling learners to demonstrate their skills in ways that reflect today’s technology demands. By improving and developing certification processes, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring SAP certifications remain trusted credentials that empower professionals worldwide to thrive in a competitive tech landscape.


In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge skill validation methodologies and explore innovative ways to incorporate real-world scenarios into SAP certifications. You’ll work alongside experienced colleagues, collaborate with different teams, and directly contribute to shaping future SAP certification formats. Your work will directly impact how SAP learners stand out in their careers and help businesses leverage SAP technology more effectively.

What you bring

  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
  • Preferred fields of study: Computer Science; Business, Business Informatics; business education; educational science; economics; data science; psychology; or related fields
  • Computer skills / Programming languages:
    • Experience in SQL and JSON is a plus
    • Affinity towards AI tools
    • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and platforms used within SAP's workflows
    • General familiarity with SAP products and solutions; knowledge of the SAP portfolio is an advantage
  • Language skills: Fluent in English, German is a plus
  • Soft skills:
    • Team player that can work across different work styles and cultures
    • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a passion for driving process improvements
    • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
  • Other important skills/experience:
    • An interest in certification formats, learning methodologies, and skill validation processes
    • Analytical thinking, particularly in evaluating scenarios, identifying best practices, and creating transferable solutions
    • Experience with data analysis, process improvement, or case studies is advantageous
  • Working from the Berlin office on a regular weekly scheduled is required

We manage all aspects of SAP Certifications, from designing the certification framework and portfolio to developing new formats tailored to today’s needs. Collaborating across SAP, including with product management and the partner organization, we ensure certifications reflect the practical skills required to implement and utilize SAP products effectively.


Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
