Job Description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

About SAP Digital Experiences (DX)

The Digital Experiences (DX) team makes it simple for everyone to do business with SAP and SAP partners—from discovery to adoption, purchase to renewal. We create world-class online experiences by inspiring, educating, and supporting customers throughout their journey to drive engagement, leads, trials, and online orders.

This organization is responsible for customer journey planning, user experience, web management, optimization, and mission-critical functions across marketing owned web properties (SAP.com and SAP Store). The team also oversees digital-first events and the web/digital design system.

As a UI/UX designer, you will help define and design the future of SAP’s digital user experience across SAP.com and SAP Store within an agile, interdisciplinary, and international environment.

In addition to your resume, please include a link to your digital portfolio.

Job Duties

  • Lead end-to-end user experience design activities for your assigned features—from strategy to implementation.
  • Actively own and contribute to visioning and requirements engineering for your features, focusing on meeting defined KPIs and achieving a System Usability Scale (SUS) score of 75 or higher.
  • Translate user needs into design artifacts such as journey maps, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and UI specifications.
  • Develop and maintain a roadmap for your assigned features that balances user needs, technical effort, and business impact.
  • Collaborate continuously with market research, usability research, and optimization teams to ensure user experience expectations are met.
  • Partner closely with business process owners, technical product owners, developers, and other key stakeholders.

Mindset and Competencies

  • You question assumptions and generate creative ideas. Our team is on a continuous quest to make things better—and we love those bold ideas. (We’ve even implemented a few.)
  • You are outcome-oriented in your decision-making. We don’t add features just because someone asks for them; we prioritize and design UX solutions that measurably improve our corporate website and B2B marketplace.
  • You execute with purpose. The DX team has a hands-on culture, and this is a hands-on role.
  • You inspire alignment. We operate within a matrixed organization inside a matrixed company—so collaboration and influence are key.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in hands-on UX design, showing progressive growth in responsibilities (demonstrated through your portfolio).
  • Experience with a wide range of design processes, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Experience designing for responsive web interfaces.
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing.
  • Experience evolving and maintaining design systems and standards.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder management and negotiation.

Additional Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in graphic design and visual asset production.
  • Experience in interaction and motion design.
  • Experience working on digital marketplaces, large eCommerce sites, or large-scale digital media platforms/websites.
  • Experience in product merchandising, personalization, and content syndication.

Location Requirements: NYC / Hudson Yards
