WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager to join our team, working with SAP Concur product, market leader in integrated travel, expense and invoice management. You will manage a high-efficient and cross-functional team. You are organized, positive, creative, and focused on the user at all times. You know when to make decisions and when to ask questions. You’re obsessed with detail and love finding new ways to solve users’ problems. Above all, you love to build terrific products.

THE VALUE YOU DELIVER:

  • Collaborate effectively with Technical Product Managers to take ownership and ensure delivery on agreed priorities.
  • Build high-performing teams by attracting, hiring, retaining, and coaching top talent.
  • Grow the team and guide the career development of team members, focusing on both the technical and interpersonal skills necessary for being effective and successful in a professional software engineering organization.
  • Provide systematic and direct individual performance feedback focused on recognition of achievement and opportunities for growth.
  • Own cloud services from end to end by delivering distributed systems utilizing AWS services and adhering to best practices such as zero-downtime production deployments, canaries, frequent deployments, and feature-flag-driven development.
  • Build and maintain strong and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's/Master’s Degree or equivalent in a technology-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) required.
  • Outstanding professional software engineering experience with work on managing engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end solutions from design through delivery.
  • Very good understanding of one or more of Go, Java, Kotlin, NodeJS and other modern programming languages.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with technical product managers, architects, and technical teams across different product areas.
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices, compliance, open-source technologies, and frameworks.
  • DevOps mentality with an understanding of Continuous Delivery and Observability
  • Experience with Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, and a broad array of AWS primitives such as EC2, AMIs, EKS, Dynamo, etc.
  • Experience in the Travel and Expenses business is a plus.
