Generative AI (GenAI) has emerged as a transformative force, with the ability to create, mimic, and innovate across a wide range of domains. This has significant implications for enterprise software and ultimately for SAP.
SAP's Business Technology Platform (BTP) is shaping the future of enterprise software and is a key enabler for the transformation we’re on together with our customers. It creates the ability to extend and personalize SAP applications, integrate, and connect entire landscapes, and empower business users to integrate processes and experiences.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and deliver the future of GenAI capabilities within SAP’s Business Technology Platform by designing and developing products and services in this space.

About the team

Our team, creates helps shape the AI vision for SAP BTP by developing AI applications. We aim to be on top of the latest advancements in AI and to develop potential solutions to best to increase the value for everybody building on top of the platform – be it internal or be it our customers and partners. Our team works on different use cases / projects, ranging from AI Agents, MCP, A2A and other AI applications/topics.

What you’ll do

• Code, either in Java, Python or Typescript
• Learn and develop your AI knowledge
• Learn new technologies, help the team adopt state of the art technologies and innovate
• Provide inputs and knowledge on the best way forward to build our AI solutions
• Be part of the team: party up with a highly skilled engineer team and work/learn with some of the best engineers in the software industry
• Be part of AI innovation at SAP, where we build the vision for the next generation of SAP products

What you’ll bring

• Love for software development and learning
• Deep software development experience, with main focus in at least one of the following: Java, Python or Typescript
• Ideally we are looking for someone with already some AI knowledge, but most importantly a motivation to learn the topic and become an expert
• Experience building scalable and resilient distributed systems using cloud technologies such as SAP BTP, AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Proficiency with modern web APIs and data serialization formats, including RESTful API design, oData or GraphQL
• Ability to speak and write English fluently is mandatory
