What you'll do:

As a Senior Java AI Developer in the Service Cloud team, the primary responsibility will be to develop product features within the Service portfolio, consumption and application of AI services and features, and helping the team deliver services on the cloud-native stack on a continuous basis.

You will:
• Be a motivated, self-starter who can operate with minimal handholding.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and performant technical solutions.
• Design, code, test, and assure the quality of complex product features within our Customer Experience & Service portfolio.
• Enable integration of AI-powered capabilities into our solutions using SAP AI Core.
• Collaborate across teams and time zones, demonstrating flexibility and accountability

What you bring

The role demands technical expertise in software development using microservices, Java/Spring Boot, building REST APIs, event-driven architecture, working with databases, UI web component development using Angular, and handling production issues and complex requirements for customers. In addition, good knowledge and application of AI is expected.

• 4–9 years of software engineering experience, with significant exposure to building products on the cloud-native stack.
• Strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals.
• Expertise in Java with Spring Boot experience.
• Familiarity with JavaScript; experience with Angular or ABAP is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven track record of writing production-grade code for enterprise-scale systems.
• Good understanding and exploration of AI frameworks, LLM consumption, agentic patterns is expected. Hands-on experience would be a major plus.
• Experience with SQL databases; knowledge of NoSQL and event streaming (e.g., Kafka) is a bonus.
• Experience with SAP software (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform) is an asset.
• Demonstrates strong collaboration across stakeholders and good communication skills.
• Experience using tools like JIRA for tracking tasks and bugs
