Job Title: Senior Quality Specialist

Location: Newtown Square, PA

Purpose and Objective:

SAP America, Inc. seeks a Senior Quality Specialist at our Newtown Square, PA location to work in a product, cross functional or testing team with special focus to quality assurance and test related tasks within the product creation process.

Expectations and Tasks:

Define quality and test strategies for products respecting defined process and product standards. Analyze, define, implement, and execute quality and test related activities according to the set quality and test strategies. Create a detailed test design including test system landscape definition and product standards. Prepare tests including customizing and master data. Author and execute manual and automated tests. Analyze test results (issues) and take appropriate follow-up actions. Serve as a subject matter expert for teams in terms of quality assurance and test related processes, methods, and tools. Initiate process and tool improvements.

Education and Occupational Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:

Experience must involve four (4) years in the following:

• Test Automation frameworks, QA Bug Management and QA Planning; and

• Debug software products using systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for Corporate software.

Technical experience must involve the following:

• Compliance of various Product Standards related to Accessibility, Security, Performance, and functional correctness;

• Work on cross-functional teams to understand various system requirements and with different teams such as Security, Performance and Automation and DevOps teams;

• API and Web Services testing in Agile Scrum methodology;

• UI or backend automation using Python or Java; and

• Troubleshoot issues to identify root cause of service and functionality failures by looking at Kafka or Grafana logs or similar tool.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $120,120 - $200,200. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $133,700 - $227,500. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
