Job Description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

SAP Concur is the world's leading platform for integrated travel, expense, and invoice management — trusted by organizations of all sizes to simplify and automate their spend processes. Within SAP Concur, the Notifications & Messaging squad owns the cross-product communications infrastructure that enables every product team to deliver timely, relevant messages to users across email, push notifications, in-product messaging, and web and mobile notification centers.

We are looking for a **Senior Product Manager** to lead this critical domain. You will own the full product lifecycle — from market analysis and strategy definition through design, delivery, and measurement — for a platform that touches every major product area at SAP Concur. This is not a siloed role: you will work across Expense, Travel, Invoices, Analytics, and Platform teams to ensure that notifications are coordinated, relevant, and drive meaningful user action rather than fatigue.

The strategic vision for this domain is **Data-Driven Messaging** — evolving from broadcast-style notifications toward an intelligent, self-aware platform that determines the right message, for the right user, via the right channel, at the right time. You will shape and drive this vision, leveraging AI and data to fundamentally improve how SAP Concur communicates with its users.

---

What you'll do

- Define and own the product strategy for SAP Concur's notifications and messaging infrastructure, aligned with broader platform and business objectives
- Engage customers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional partners to identify opportunities for improving message relevance, reducing notification fatigue, and increasing engagement
- Partner with engineering and UX teams on solution design, architectural trade-offs, and delivery planning across multiple communication channels
- Own the product backlog and write clear, actionable user stories using agile methodology
- Coordinate cross-team dependencies — this platform serves every major product vertical, requiring strong governance and stakeholder alignment
- Define and track KPIs centered on message engagement, delivery reliability, and user action rates to optimize customer value and business impact
- Drive the Data-Driven Messaging vision, identifying opportunities to apply AI and machine learning for user profiling, message relevance scoring, and channel optimization
- Support go-to-market strategy for new notification capabilities, ensuring product teams across SAP Concur can effectively leverage the platform

What you'll bring

Required Qualifications
- Professional experience building and delivering enterprise B2B SaaS products, with demonstrated ownership of a defined product domain
- Strategic thinking with commercial acumen — ability to connect customer needs and technical capabilities to measurable business outcomes
- Strong experience collaborating with engineering teams in agile development environments
- Proven ability to translate complex technical problems into clear, actionable product requirements that balance scale, reliability, performance, and usability
- Excellent cross-functional stakeholder management — comfortable influencing and aligning multiple product teams without direct authority
- Data-driven decision-making mindset with experience defining and tracking product success metrics (KPIs)
- Practical experience delivering AI- or ML-enabled product capabilities
- Strong understanding of Generative AI concepts (RAG, agentic patterns, prompt design) and their application to product experiences
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with both executive and engineering audiences
- Self-directed, outcome-oriented mindset with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with messaging platforms, notification systems, email infrastructure, push notification services, or enterprise communications infrastructure
- Experience with high-scale, multi-channel communication systems in enterprise SaaS environments
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures, data pipelines, or real-time processing systems
- Background in user engagement optimization, behavioral analytics, or personalization systems

Please, submit your CV in English. Only CVs submitted in this language will be assessed
