EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

SAP Australia is looking for a Retail Consumer Industries Senior or Principal Consultant with an excellent knowledge of SAP Retail solutions to join our Consumer Industries team. You will be based in Australia (Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane), but will have the opportunity to work with international customers and support global projects if the need and desire arise.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

We are seeking a Senior/Principal Consultant to join our Consumer Industries Consulting practice who is able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Have an excellent understanding of business processes, solutions and applications in the Retail and Supply Chain industry.

  • Be capable of creating and implementing innovative solutions and services for our customers in the Retail Industry, with a focus on AI assisted processes and solutions

  • Possess an ability to comprehend and apply business process and apply SAP best practice and Activate methodology including experience of the SAP Integrated Tool Chain

  • Have in depth experience of SAP technology, applications, and solutions for the retail industry.

  • Have in depth implementation experience, having worked with over five full lifecyle implementations of SAP Retail Solutions

ABOUT YOU:

You will have excellent knowledge combined with hands-on implementation experience of the solution areas mentioned above, as well as the ability to provide expert consulting services, when working with the client, to design and implement innovative digital solutions that transform the client’s business. You will also have demonstrable experience working across all phases of an implementation project from requirements definition and solution design to realisation, testing, implementation and post ‘go-live’ support.

You are a motivated ‘self-starter’, with a desire to succeed. You must have the skills to partner with a client to analyse and define business requirements, processes and objectives to subsequently confirm a project solution design, landscape and deliverables, followed by the ability to organise your own and potentially other team members time and deliverables to meet the project timeline.

You will be expected to keep abreast of industry trends and to communicate well at all levels of an organisation including business, functional, senior and technical client staff, and to ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction with the project. You will already be working as a member of a team, or as a team lead, and would provide team leadership and support to other consulting colleagues.

We embrace continued learning and development as a core component of our organisational culture and you will be expected to become an active member of the SAP Consulting community by sharing knowledge with the community and mentoring team members and contributing to enhancing the knowledge management process within the team (i.e. creating business best practices, process flows, templates and support packaged service offerings, etc)

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Tertiary education

  • Deep delivery experience of SAP Retail solutions

  • Can conduct and lead requirements and design workshops

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to showcase the solution and advocate its benefits before senior client, and fellow project team members

  • Ability to work well in, with, and leading teams

  • Proven ability to establish long term customer relationships

  • Ability to effectively understand business requirements and map them to an SAP solution, while minimizing system enhancements and risk to both customer and SAP.

  • Ability to professionally set, manage and satisfy customer expectations through personal involvement or delegation.

  • Ability to interact effectively with differing levels of partner and customer organizations.

  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of key methodologies employed by SAP globally

  • Clear understanding of functional and technical integration aspects with other SAP modules and solutions

  • SAP Certification in a relevant discipline

  • Professional certification would be a bonus

  • Ideally Solution and Application Architecture skills such as TOGAF or SAP A200

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • At least 10 years of work experience in a consulting firm, delivering implementation services for various customers

  • Worked extensively within SAP solutions in the Retail Industry

  • Experience in five (or more) end to end Business Process Implementations in the Retail Industry

  • Demonstrate the capability from past projects to meet deadlines and control project scope

  • Knowledge and experience with multiple SAP methodologies such as Activate and the Integrated Tool Chain
