Job Description
We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.
Location Requirement: this is a Germany-based role following SAP’s hybrid work policy; candidates are expected to be based within commutable distance of one of our offices in Walldorf, Berlin, or Munich (Garching) for occasional on-site activities.
SAP supports relocation for this position and will assist successful candidates with the moving process.
What you’ll build:
As a (Senior) Human Resources Recruitment Consultant (f/m/d), you’ll join a culturally diverse regional team of Talent Discovery professionals supporting SAP in Germany. You will shape end-to-end recruiting - from requisition approval and profile definition with local and international hiring managers, through direct and indirect sourcing in the external marketplace, to candidate assessment/selection and complex offer negotiations.
Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:
Own the full hiring process to fill vacancies against time, quality, and service expectations
Partner closely with lines of business to define search strategies and plan external sourcing activities for both internal and external candidates
Execute active sourcing of candidates (e.g. targeted outreach, talent pooling, market mapping) as a core, ongoing part of the role
Act as the subject matter expert on industry talent markets and trends for your assigned business areas
Drive consistent, high-quality candidate and stakeholder experiences across the recruiting lifecycle
What you bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field OR completed vocational training/apprenticeship with a clear recruiting focus required
2–5 years of recruiting experience in a recruitment agency and/or an international company
Understanding of the German talent market and software development functional domains (e.g. Product Development, Software & Cloud Engineering ideally with AI background), covering market mapping, pipeline building, and competitive intelligence analysis
Fluent business-level English (written and spoken). German is a plus
Strong consulting skills with a customer- and results-focused mindset
Proven, proactive outreach to talent via platforms such as LinkedIn (e.g., direct sourcing, talent pooling, pipeline building)
Experience representing an employer on the external labour market (e.g., events, networking, employer branding touchpoints) Process orientation, attention to detail, and accountability across end-to-end recruiting
First experience with competency-based interviewing and recruitment practices
Cross-cultural awareness and effective interpersonal and communication skills, paired with a genuine passion for recruiting. Ability to manage demanding workloads and competing priorities is a benefit
Project coordination or administrative project management experience is a plus
Where you belong
You’ll belong to a supportive Talent Acquisition community that collaborates across regions and business areas to hire great people for SAP. In a truly inclusive culture, we don’t just make room for different perspectives - we seek them out, because better questions lead to better answers. Here, your voice matters and your ideas are heard.
We value clarity, empathy, and teamwork, while giving you the autonomy to make a real impact.
You’ll stretch your expertise in a global, innovative company that turns curiosity into impact and learning into momentum, so you can do work that matters with people who care.
