What you'll build

We are looking for an experienced engineer to help shape the artifact management backbone that thousands of SAP engineers and partners rely on every day. You'll grow and operate a global platform which is the trusted source for binaries and software artifacts across SAP. Together we'll extend it with the functional, security, and intelligence capabilities our developer community needs to move faster and reduce their cognitive load.

• You'll design, build, and evolve Go services that power binary and artifact management at SAP scale, with reliability, security, and performance as first class concerns.
• You'll deliver new self-service experiences that put control and flexibility directly into the hands of product teams across SAP.
• You'll help advance artifact curation and policy enforcement capabilities, supporting SAP's mission to ship software that is secure, compliant, and dependable.
• You'll contribute to expanding the platform's global reach and resilience, ensuring a great experience for users and partners around the world.
• You'll work on integrating AI-assisted operations and developer-facing capabilities into our platform, so engineers spend less time on toil and more time on building.
• Your work will directly impact the speed, security, and developer experience of every product team that depends on SAP's shared artifact infrastructure.

What you bring

You're a software engineer who enjoys building dependable backend systems and cares about the developers who use them. You're comfortable owning services in production and bringing a security-aware, pragmatic mindset to everything you ship.

• Solid hands-on experience designing and building backend microservices in Go, with a good grasp of concurrency, testing, and clean API design (experience in another modern language plus a willingness to grow in Go is welcome).
• Comfort with distributed-systems building blocks - relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar), event-driven architectures, and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.) - and the trade-offs they bring.
• Practical experience operating cloud-native services on Kubernetes - containers, observability, and CI/CD pipelines feel natural to you.
• Familiarity with artifact, package, or repository management concepts (Artifactory, container registries, Maven, npm, or similar) or strong adjacent experience you can bring across.
• A security and quality mindset: you think about supply-chain integrity, access control, and resilient design as you build, not after.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills - you work openly with product, architecture, and operations colleagues, and you make complex things easier for others to use.
• Bonus points if you have hands-on DevOps or platform-engineering experience - infrastructure-as-code, build/release automation, or developer tooling work that complements service development.
