Job Description

We help the world run better

At SAP, we enable you to bring out your best. Our company culture is focused on collaboration and a shared passion to help the world run better. How? We focus every day on building the foundation for tomorrow and creating a workplace that embraces differences, values flexibility, and is aligned to our purpose-driven and future-focused work. We offer a highly collaborative, caring team environment with a strong focus on learning and development, recognition for your individual contributions, and a variety of benefit options for you to choose from.

Join SAP Concur’s Design Systems team and help shape the future of scalable, accessible enterprise experiences. Move beyond maintaining a component library — architect how global teams design, build, and innovate across multiple SAP product areas.
You’ll create foundational patterns and practices that empower product teams worldwide to deliver exceptional experiences, improving how people travel, work, and manage expenses.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

In this role, you will:

  • Shape and grow a multi-platform design system used by millions globally.
  • Design foundational components, patterns, and floorplans that streamline complex enterprise experiences.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with designers, engineers, and product managers worldwide.
  • Champion inclusive, accessible, and human-centered design practices at every level.
  • Mentor teams to create with quality, speed, and purpose while promoting design system best practices.
  • Analyze system usage and feedback (both quantitative and qualitative) to guide continuous improvements.
  • Educate and advocate across the organization to promote system adoption and scale impact.
  • Deliver measurable impact by simplifying complex systems, making them intuitive, empowering, and accessible for users everywhere.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Design System Leadership: Develop, evolve, and maintain a scalable, enterprise-grade design system supporting multiple products and platforms.
  • Component, Pattern, and Floorplan Design: Specify reusable UI components, UX patterns, and page-level floorplans with deep documentation and accessibility baked in.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with global designers, framework developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth system implementation.
  • Accessibility and Inclusivity: Embed WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design principles throughout every system element.
  • Education and Evangelism: Create training, documentation, workshops, and internal communication to increase system literacy and adoption.
  • Data-Driven Continuous Improvement: Evaluate feedback and usage data to prioritize and deliver high-impact system enhancements.
  • Mentorship and Support: Guide designers in system thinking, provide hands-on support for product teams, and cultivate a culture of design excellence.
  • Quality and Standards Stewardship: Maintain the highest quality standards for system assets and ensure consistent, scalable UX across SAP Concur platforms.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Proven experience building, evolving, and scaling enterprise-grade design systems across web and mobile platforms.
  • Deep systems thinking and expertise in designing scalable UI/UX foundations for complex products.
  • Strong collaboration skills working across global, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Expertise specifying and documenting components and patterns within Figma (or equivalent tools).
  • Solid understanding of front-end development workflows (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks).
  • Deep commitment to accessibility (WCAG 2.1/2.2) and inclusive design.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Design: Visual, Graphic, Interface, Industrial, Media, or related fields
  • Strong UX/UI Design Experience, with significant experience focused on design systems for enterprise environments
  • Figma Mastery: Expert in developing and managing scalable component libraries
  • Front-End Technology Familiarity: Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Impactful System Portfolio: A portfolio or demo showcasing your design system work is required for consideration

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Experience supporting large-scale, multi-product design systems in a global organization.
  • Passion for creating accessible, user-friendly solutions that serve diverse audiences.
  • Strong mentorship and coaching experience with junior or early-career designers.
  • Skilled at solving ambiguous, complex problems and turning them into clear, actionable goals.
  • Familiarity with technical constraints for web and mobile development across enterprise platforms.

Help us drive the future of enterprise UX by making complex systems simple, intuitive, and empowering — at global scale.
