About the Role

The Senior Category Buyer – Network Connectivity for Cloud Infrastructure is a key procurement role supporting global sourcing, commercial negotiations, and supplier management. The role partners closely with the Category Manager, business stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams to deliver value, ensure governance, and enable SAP’s cloud and growth strategy.

What you'll do

• Support and execute global sourcing activities across cloud infrastructure and network connectivity categories, including RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
• Lead commercial negotiations and managed the full contract lifecycle with strategic suppliers, including multimillion‑euro agreements and complex commercial structures.
• Drive supplier relationship management, performance governance, and continuous improvement in partnership with category leadership.
• Translates business and technical requirements into clear procurement strategies, sourcing actions, and execution plans.
• Contributes to category strategy development through market intelligence, benchmarking, and spend analysis.
• Delivers executive‑ready analyses, decision materials, and financial modeling to support investment and sourcing decisions.
• Identify, negotiates, and implements cost optimization, savings, and rebate opportunities aligned with global financial objectives.
• Simplified and standardized Source‑to‑Pay and sourcing processes across regions while supporting sustainability, innovation, and risk‑mitigation initiatives.
  
  

What you bring

• Holds a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in IT or Cloud procurement, ideally in multinational environments.
• Proven track record managing multimillion-euro contracts and complex procurement deals.
• Strong preference for expertise in WAN communications and telecom technologies/services.
• Skilled in negotiating and overseeing supplier agreements for pricing, service terms, and value.
• Experienced in collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and ensuring scalable commercial decisions.
• Proficient in leveraging data and tools for procurement decision-making, reporting, and transparency.
