Security Compliance Specialist (fixed-term contract)

As a Security Compliance Specialist within Enterprise Processes & Solutions organization, you will help secure the platforms, services, and development processes that power SAP's digital enterprise. You will work closely with product teams, architects, developers, and security experts to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle and strengthen the security posture of business-critical applications and services.

In this role, you will:

• Integrate security into cloud-native applications, platforms, and services throughout the Software Development Lifecycle, including threat modelling, security assessments, and security reviews.
• Drive vulnerability remediation and collaborate with development teams to implement security best practices and translate security requirements into secure designs.
• Contribute to DevSecOps initiatives by integrating security controls, automation, and monitoring into CI/CD delivery pipelines.
• Help improve security engineering standards, processes, playbooks, and documentation to strengthen organizational security posture.

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications**

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in application security, product security, cloud security, or software engineering
• Understanding of security frameworks, secure development practices, and modern application security concepts
• Knowledge of threat modelling, vulnerability management, security testing, and risk mitigation techniques
• Understanding of cloud platforms, container technologies, and Kubernetes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English

**Preferred Qualifications**

• Experience with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD platforms, and engineering tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Nexus, or Artifactory
• Programming or scripting experience
• Experience with application security testing, penetration testing, or vulnerability assessment tools
• Security certifications such as Security+, CSSLP, AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, or equivalent
