SAP is the global market leader for business software and related services, and SAP National Security Services Inc.® (SAP NS2®) is an independent U.S. subsidiary, offering SAP solutions with specialized levels of security and support to meet the requirements of U.S. national security and critical infrastructure customers. Must be a US Citizen; this position requires access to customer data. All internals must have Manager’s approval to transfer.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:

SAP NS2 offers a streamlined, secure adoption of SAP cloud innovation to the most security-conscious organizations across all industries – from commercial entities in regulated industries including utilities, financial services, healthcare, to organizations within government and defense agencies. In this role as a SAP NS2 Services Controller, you are part of the SAP NS2 finance team supporting SAP Sovereign Cloud. The SAP NS2 cloud business has grown rapidly and in 2025 is expected to support over $600M of revenue annually and continues to grow into new segments. The services area actively engages with these customers on their cloud journey and is a key aspect in the customer relationship. In this role, the main tasks are performing the Financial Forecast, monitoring performance, financial close, driving action plans and budget creation. As the Trusted Partner to this team, he/she bears responsibility for overseeing Services revenue growth and profitability for the business. This position also works closely with local and global colleagues in achieving controlling initiatives.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively engage with Sales leadership by being a business partner in identifying top priority deals. Collaborate with SAP NS2 and SAP Legal, CFO Approval team, and others to provide seamless end-to-end deal support for services.
  • Communicate proactively with key business stakeholders, especially top management and provide them with analysis and reporting. To have the ability to present and articulate financial results to stakeholders is key to be successful in the role.
  • Be a visible and vocal leader within the SAP NS2 Finance Organization and be open and adaptable to change and look for opportunities for continuous improvement and alignment with SAP.
  • Responsible for ensuring the P&L accurately reflects the financial performance of the organization. Working closely and coordinating with various Finance partners including Services Delivery Organization, Revenue Recognition, R2R, O2I, Commercial, Operations and various controlling and finance teams.
  • Responsible for month end and quarter end closing processes related to Services controlling while working closely with the responsible finance members. Ensure overall accuracy and timeliness of financial results.
  • Prepare and present financial analysis to provide insight and foresight for senior management in attainment of their services goals and metrics.
  • Responsible for forecasting costs at the NS2 board and management level working closely with the Regional/Global Controllers and Services business leaders.
  • Working with Various Controlling teams in the communication, reporting and tracking of Services financial metrics.
  • Nurture and enhance NS2 Services Engagement model, driving continuous improvement process, acting as real orchestrator, and showing an ability to connect across various layers in the organization, especially in the context of simplification/automation.
  • Ad Hoc finance projects and analysis for different stakeholders – NA Finance, NS2 and SAP Controlling, CFO and COO.

Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies:

  • University Degree in Finance/ Accounting. MBA / CPA a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong team player. Comfortable to collaborate with all hierarchy levels of the organization
  • Dynamic interpersonal and communication skills, written and oral presentation abilities
  • Strong understanding of SAP IT systems and applications (BW, ERP, Analytics for Office, SAC)
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of work experience in Finance/Accounting or Controlling function
  • Proven ability to drive business transformation and execution against ambitious milestones

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted annual combined range for this position is 142500-327100USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
