Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and optimize SAP environments across hybrid cloud and on-premise infrastructures. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical expert who combines deep knowledge of SAP Basis, system performance tuning, and automation with a strong understanding of DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• SAP System Administration
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP landscapes, including ECC, S/4HANA, BW, HANA, and Solution Manager.
• Manage upgrades, patches, and system migrations.
• Conduct system performance analysis and implement tuning strategies.
• Leverage tools to monitor SAP systems proactively and address issues before they impact operations.
• Develop and deploy automation scripts using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Jenkins to streamline system provisioning, monitoring, and deployments.
• Architect and manage SAP systems in hybrid environments (on-premise and cloud providers like AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Optimize infrastructure for cost, scalability, and reliability.
• Implement security best practices for SAP systems, including role-based access controls (RBAC) and compliance with industry standards.
• Manage system backups, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including application developers, business analysts, and infrastructure engineers.
• Provide technical support and expertise during critical incidents and SAP go-lives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 12+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration and DevOps practices.
• Hands-on experience with HANA database administration and troubleshooting.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of SAP architecture, components, and integration points.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native tools.
• Expertise in scripting languages (Python, Shell).
• Experience with automation frameworks is a plus (Ansible, Terraform) and CI/CD tools.
• Cloud Skills are a plu

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 164700 - 280100(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
