What You’ll Build
The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP’s global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This is more than an internship; it’s the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact.
Position title: SAP iXp Intern - Sales Operations [South MU]
Location: Houston TX, USA
Expected Start: June 2026
Duration: Summer Term
In this role you’ll review the AI tools available to MU leadership for automating day to day tasks, create several demo show cases and present to MU leadership how to leverage the tools available. You make be asked to undertake some of tasks that are candidates for automation as a baseline for potential time savings via automation.
Business impact – You will help make AI tools more accessible and useful to busy sales executives.
Team environment and collaboration – You will work under the guidance of the Market Unit COO along with select MU sales leadership. The SAP Houston office will be your home base. A small contingent of Account Executives will be present and available for guidance.
Learning opportunities – Interns will have the opportunity to learn and apply AI skills in a high paced sale environment. They will be afforded the opportunity to present to senior leaders and receive coaching on the quality of their content and delivery. Interns will get a broad exposure to the day to day function of a sales organization and the underlying functions that support sales operations.
Example tasks that may be candidates for AI automation or augmentation.
Collecting and summarizing merger and acquisition activity in the territory
Collecting and summarizing go-to-market relevant data on accounts in the territory (revenue band, employee count, ownership structure)
Customer org structure creation and mapping
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.
Currently undertaking under graduate or post graduate studies in Business or IT
Successful candidate would have some hands on experience using one or more AI tools
General business acumen and presentation skills a must. Ability to perform for a large group.
Failure is an option for this experiment. We are attempting to take a couple of smart people and give them a crash course in how the MU operates and look for some real world uses of AI. The intent is to demonstrate to MU leadership that the “lift” required to drive automation is not outside of their reach…so easy and intern could do it.

The Houston office a small sales outpost for the greater SAP machine. The environment is collaborative and friendly. Interns will interact with people that have recently joined SAP through lifers that have been here for more than 25 years.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 15-40 (USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
