Position title: SAP iXp Intern - Information Security Vulnerability Management
Location: Budapest, Hungary
Duration: 12 months + possibility to get prolonged until the full-time, active student status condition is met
Time schedule: 24 / 30 / 32 / 40 hours per week
What you bring
- Enrolment as an active, full-time student (Bachelor or Master) in Computer Science or IT.
General proficiency with the tools and procedures required to perform vulnerability management activities.
- Communication level of English (both written and oral), fluency in Hungarian.
Ability to resolve issues with limited complexity within established guidelines and departmental practices.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively within assigned work.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to build productive working relationships within the team and across limited cross-functional areas.
Ability to provide timely communication and constructive feedback within the team.
Responsible for the delivery of assigned tasks while working under general direction.
Capable of completing straightforward tasks independently while providing administrative and technical support when required.
What you'll do
As an Information Security Vulnerability Management Associate, you will help identify, assess, and track the remediation of security vulnerabilities across the organization's systems and infrastructure. You will support vulnerability management activities, work with technical teams to prioritize remediation efforts, and contribute to reducing the organization's overall security risk.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Conduct vulnerability scans and security assessments across systems, applications, and infrastructure.
Analyze vulnerability findings and support prioritization based on exploitability, business impact, and risk.
Track vulnerability remediation activities and monitor progress toward closure.
Research vulnerability disclosures, CVEs, vendor security advisories, and industry bulletins to support remediation efforts.
Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to coordinate timely vulnerability remediation.
Monitor vulnerability exposure, remediation SLAs, and maintain accurate documentation of findings, exceptions, and risk acceptances.
Contribute to the development and improvement of vulnerability management processes, procedures, metrics, and reporting.
Support security assessments, penetration testing activities, and the evaluation of remediation effectiveness.
Prepare reports and communicate vulnerability status and remediation progress to relevant stakeholders.

Our Information Security Vulnerability Management team is responsible for ensuring the appropriate identification, assessment, prioritization, and remediation of vulnerabilities across the organization's systems, applications, and infrastructure. We work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors to reduce security risks, strengthen the organization's overall security posture, and ensure compliance with internal and external security standards. Together, we help protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical information assets.
