Job Description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

Role Overview

SAP’s Global Sponsorships team activates some of the most influential partnerships in sports, entertainment, and culture to elevate SAP’s brand, drive customer engagement, and support business growth. We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and highly collaborative Marketing & Partner Activation Manager to support the development, storytelling, and execution of our partnerships across the globe.

This role will contribute directly to the strategy, creative narrative, and end-to-end activation of SAP’s portfolio of world-class partnerships. The ideal candidate brings a passion for sports and entertainment, strong marketing instincts, and the ability to turn partnership assets into compelling stories that resonate internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

Narrative Development & Amplification

Develop clear, impactful overarching narratives for SAP’s sponsorship partners, ensuring each partnership ladders to SAP’s brand strategy, priority solutions, and industry messages.

Build and manage the amplification strategy for each partner, including storytelling plans, content themes, and channel strategies across SAP-owned, earned, and paid media.

Partner with SAP Global Communications, Brand, Social Media, and Regional Marketing teams to promote partnership stories across the organization and into the market.

Partner Relationship Management

Play a key role in developing, nurturing, and maintaining strong relationships with SAP’s global sponsor partners.

Serve as a day-to-day contact across several partnerships, ensuring alignment on objectives, deliverables, activation plans, and long-term roadmap.

Partnership Activation & Asset Management

Contribute to the management and activation of assigned partnerships throughout the full contract lifecycle — from annual planning to onsite execution.

Work closely with partner management teams to activate key assets, including digital content, hospitality, product integration, community programs, thought leadership, and event presence.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Global Communications, Brand, Demand Generation, Customer Office, Regional Marketing, Solution Teams) to ensure assets are maximized for business value.

Governance, Compliance & Operations

Coordinate with cross-functional internal teams to ensure adherence to SAP audit, legal, governance, and compliance requirements across all partnership activations.

Support internal documentation, reporting, and process management to ensure partnership delivery meets SAP standards and sponsor expectations.

Skills & Experience Required

3–5 years of marketing experience, ideally within sports, entertainment, brand partnerships, or sponsorship marketing.

Demonstrated experience developing PR, storytelling, or communications strategies that translate complex topics into compelling narratives.

Hands-on experience managing or contributing to social media channels, including content creation, scheduling, and performance analysis.

Direct experience activating sponsorship partnerships, including an understanding of asset valuation, onsite activation, brand integration, content development, and hospitality programs.

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Excellent project management and organizational skills; ability to work on multiple partnerships simultaneously.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed, global environment.
