We’re looking for an experienced Quantitative UX Researcher to help us deeply understand how business users engage with SAP’s next-generation AI experiences—and to drive data-informed decisions about the future of AI across our enterprise platform. You’ll lead rigorous, end-to-end research that grounds our AI product strategy in the needs, expectations, and behaviors of business users globally.

This is a highly cross-functional and future-focused role, ideal for someone who brings survey science expertise, product intuition, and a passion for shaping AI that delivers real business impact.

What you’ll do

  • Drive user-centered AI innovation, uncover what business users need and expect from AI, and translate these insights into opportunities that shape AI product strategy and the overall SAP AI roadmap.

  • Design and execute large-scale, statistically rigorous studies (e.g., surveys, behavioral telemetry analyses, experimentations) to reveal how users interact with AI features, understand trust barriers, and measure real-world value and impact.

  • Develop metrics and longitudinal tracking systems to monitor changes in business user attitudes, trust, efficiency, and adoption of AI-driven capabilities over time—informing teams as they scale and mature SAP’s AI offerings.

  • Surface actionable insights for product and business strategy. You’ll do that by using segmentation, behavioral modeling, and advanced analytics to identify what drives adoption, satisfaction, and desired business outcomes with AI features, ensuring research findings lead directly to improved product decisions and technology investments.

  • Partner closely with fellow AI-focused User Researchers, PMs, Designers, Engineers, and Data Scientists to translate insights into intuitive, trusted, and delightful AI solutions for business users.

  • Be a voice for responsible, human-centered AI and establish research programs that proactively address topics like explainability, fairness, user control, and confidence in AI—advancing SAP’s leadership in trustworthy enterprise AI

  • Synthesize complex quantitative findings into clear, compelling recommendations for technical, design, and executive audiences—driving clarity and confidence in the evolution of SAP’s AI.

Qualities you bring

  • You instinctively think about problems from the perspective of business users, and are highly motivated to make AI more intuitive, trustworthy, and impactful for them.

  • Turning complex product and business questions into researchable hypotheses, and enjoy bringing structure and scientific rigor to transformative AI innovation.

  • You are an Applied Generalist that comfortable applying a broad toolkit—from experimental methods to statistical modeling—to tackle varied business and UX challenges.

  • A genuine love of programming and advanced analytics to unlock the “why” and “how” of user interaction with AI.

  • You are a Responsible AI advocate that is excited to shape how the next generation of SAP AI products earn the appropriate level of trust and foster adoption among enterprise users.

  • A passion for translating research into actionable product changes that improve both user experience and business outcomes.

You might thrive in this role if you

  • Have 7+ years of experience conducting quantitative UX research in product or enterprise AI environments, with demonstrated impact on shipped AI-powered solutions.

  • Excel at survey design, complex sampling, survey deployment at scale, and mixed-method user studies focused on adoption, usability, and trust of AI in business contexts.

  • Have built and maintained research infrastructure that scales (e.g., attitudinal trackers, usage dashboards, experimental pipelines) to support agile product development.

  • Can clearly link user needs and insights to strategy, roadmap, and measurable business impact—especially for AI-driven products.

  • Bring strong technical skills in SQL, Python, R, or similar, and confidence with statistical analysis, experimental design, and data visualization.

  • Are motivated by the challenge of solving ambiguous problems in rapidly evolving spaces—especially those unique to the future of AI.

  • Communicate technical and user-centric insights with clarity, empathy, and strategic vision—ensuring research accelerates product and business progress.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in applied product research for AI-driven or data-rich products, ideally in enterprise or business software.

  • Experience with large-scale data, advanced quantitative methods, and multi-method studies focused on AI feature adoption, usability, or value measurement.

  • Demonstrated expertise in applied statistics, survey methodology, and user measurement at scale.

  • Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a relevant field (HCI, Psychology, Social Science, Information Science, etc.).

  • Coding skills in SQL and Python (PHP a plus).

  • Understanding of qualitative and user-centered design methods, especially as they relate to AI and business user interactions.
