At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

Summary

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Product Owner with a solid background in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to join our growing CPIT Private Cloud Delivery team.

In the Private Cloud delivery organization, we are focusing on the development of solutions for our external and internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth, transparent, and automated way of selling, configuring and provisioning of landscapes to SAP’s private cloud customers.

What you'll build

As a Product Owner of one of our agile delivery teams you will be responsible for defining and prioritizing the team backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining alignment with the program goals and roadmap. You will work closely with other colleagues in the Agile Release Train (ART) to ensure that the solution meets the needs of our customers and stakeholders.

You will have following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Product Management team to understand and translate the product vision and roadmap into actionable items for the development teams.

  • Define and prioritize the team backlog, ensuring it is aligned with the program priorities.

  • Participate in Program Increment (PI) planning and coordinate with other Product Owners and stakeholders.

  • Work closely with the development team to refine and estimate user stories.

  • Ensure the team delivers value to the customers and meets the program objectives.

  • Facilitate and participate in team demos and retrospectives.

  • Monitor and report on the progress of the team’s work.

What you bring

  • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (SPOPM) certification or equivalent.

  • Experience in agile delivery and transformation projects

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a SAFe or other scaled agile environment

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the SAFe framework

  • Product and process knowledge in SAP Private Cloud preferred (RISE with SAP, SAP System Architecture)

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Structured and goal-oriented approach to work

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Willingness to learn new processes and technologies

  • Quick learner

  • Proactive attitude of getting things done

  • Team player

  • Challenger of status quo

  • Fluent in English

  • Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, or similar Agile tools.

What you belong

The Corporate Processes & IT (CPIT) organization is responsible for evolving and executing SAP’s IT strategy. We are applying our expertise in technology and business processes by driving the internal adoption of standard applications that support end-users in the execution and re-engineering of their processes in all lines of business, always putting a strong focus on end-user centricity. It is our objective to accelerate co-innovation with development and extend the use of SAP standard products within SAP, shifting the focus from maintaining a heavily customized environment to optimizing our processes on top of standard services. By combining technological understanding with business know-how and using our own innovative solutions as the earliest adopter, we ensure zero distance between business and technology and act as ultimate proof point in SAP’s transition to a cloud company.
