Job Description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

What you’ll do:

As a Product Owner within the ATLAS program, you will play a key role in defining, evolving, and operating business‑critical internal applications that form the delivery backbone of SAP Global Cloud Operations (GCO). You will shape the product vision and roadmap for your assigned application by deeply understanding end‑to‑end business processes across the commercial and technical worlds of GCO and translating them into scalable, automated, and customer‑centric solutions.

Working closely with global stakeholders, architects, developers, and fellow Product Owners, you will ensure seamless integration across the application landscape. Your focus will be on improving efficiency, standardization, automation, and transparency across Initial Deal setup, Customer Landscape Changes, and Service Requests, ultimately enabling SAP to scale the RISE with SAP offering successfully.

You will act as the single point of ownership for your application throughout its lifecycle—driving discovery, delivery, adoption, and operational excellence—while contributing to the strategic goals of the ATLAS program and SAP GCO.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Conduct in‑depth discovery with business stakeholders, end users, and operational teams to understand pain points, process gaps, and automation potential across GCO commercial and technical processes.
  • Own and continuously refine the product vision, backlog, and roadmap for your assigned application within the ATLAS landscape.
  • Capture business requirements and translate them into clear, well‑structured user stories with acceptance criteria for agile development teams.
  • Collaborate closely with IT architects, developers, testers, and other business stakeholders
to ensure end‑to‑end process consistency, high data quality, and a unified user experience across applications.
  • Align solution designs with E2E ECS processes, including Sales‑to‑Deliver, Commercial approvals, Landscape provisioning, Production operations, and Billing integration.
  • Support and contribute to test strategies, release readiness, and quality assurance for newly delivered functionalities.
  • Act as subject matter expert and primary point of contact for operational support teams, ensuring stable operations and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate product updates, process changes, and roadmap progress effectively through enablement sessions, documentation, and stakeholder updates.
  • Actively contribute to Simplify – Standardize – Automate initiatives, identifying opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve scalability, and support the growing RISE with SAP customer volume.

What you bring:

  • Academic degree in Informatics, Business Information Technology, Business Administration, or comparable professional experience.
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, or similar role, preferably in complex enterprise or cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of Global Cloud Operations, IT service delivery models, and integrated business‑IT processes.
  • Experience working with IT architectures, system integrations, and E2E toolchains in large‑scale enterprise environments.
  • Solid knowledge of agile software development methodologies, especially SCRUM, and hands‑on experience with requirements and backlog management.
  • Ability to translate complex business processes into intuitive, scalable digital solutions.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills in a global, interdisciplinary setup.
  • Open, analytical, and conceptual mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Meet the team

  • The Technical World, managing configuration, provisioning, operations, and landscape changes

The ATLAS program integrates these worlds to simplify customer experience, accelerate delivery, and enable scale—a critical foundation for the rapid growth driven by RISE with SAP.

As a Product Owner, you will take responsibility for one of these core applications and work as part of a collaborative network of Product Management Team shaping the future GCO delivery platform.
