Title: Product Marketing Manager, EPM and Planning

What you'll build:

The software market for EPM and planning solutions is growing and evolving rapidly as organizations rely on Cloud-based solutions as a part of their digital transformation. In this role as a Product Marketing Manager for EPM and planning, your primary focus is to be a market, audience, and subject matter expert in this focus domain. There are touchpoints to emerging technology trends such as AI and Data & Analytics platforms. We target key buyers and users in the office of the CFO, and in Corporate Reporting and Planning teams in particular.

You will act as a subject matter expert with a clear focus on understanding the existing market and identifying new opportunities. You will manage the communications processes that explain the value of SAP solutions to EPM leaders, including creating a digital customer journey. To achieve this, you need to tell great stories based on compelling positioning & messaging. As a spokesperson for your product area, you will communicate with internal product management and engineering teams, internal sellers, as well as external audiences - including engagement with customer and partner groups, analyst and press. You will help develop the specific messaging that will resonate with our buyers.

What you’ll do:

  • Market and Business Situation - Understand the product area, including total addressable market and key players; contribute to the definition of the Market Opportunity Map for your product area and represent product area value and vision as a spokesperson to customers, partners, press and analysts.
  • Manage the release announcement process – Define value positioning and messaging framework, branding, public roadmap and website updates.
  • Create attractive commercial offers – Collaborate in defining the packaging, pricing, and licensing plans for the solution.
  • Deliver a high-quality digital customer journey –Ensure excellence in content and storytelling for your product area. Collaborate with cross-marketing discipline teams to maximize customer engagement.
  • Enable sales teams and partners – Collaborate with field experts and deliver sales enablement content for your area.

What you will bring:

  • Master’s / MBA degree (or equivalent) in finance, business, or marketing.
  • Ideal candidates should have 8-10 years of product marketing or product management experience in the B2B software industry or experience as an EPM professional.
  • Ideal candidates should have 8-10 years of experience in content creation of strategic and customer-facing assets.
  • Strong business understanding of key finance, planning and EPM processes.
  • Strong understanding and usage experience with enterprise software.
  • Solid grasp of cloud computing (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) and experience with applications from a vendor such as SAP, Oracle, Workday or best of breed providers for EPM.
  • Analytical and strategic mindset, innovative thinker with strong communication and collaborative skills: verbal, written, and interpersonal.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and writing skills; able to coordinate and manage multiple projects and collaborate within and across virtual and diverse teams.
  • Track record of building strong customer and/or partner relationships.

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 220200 - 374200(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
