What you’ll do

The Business AI Product Engineering team delivers scalable, re-usable, state-of-the-art AI technologies for SAP, both internally via reusable AI capabilities embedded into products directly and externally for developers and partners for products such as Joule, GenAI Hub, and Document Information Extraction Premium. The team delivers the AI and provides on-going production-level support and improvements to LoBs, creating a cycle of prioritization, execution, shipping/delivery, and collecting feedback/signals as quickly and efficiently as possible.

In line with our harmonized product operating model, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Feature Product Manager (f/m/d) to join our dynamic team focusing on Inbound Product Management. You will be defining the WHAT and the WHY as part of empowered product teams as single accountable for product success. Furthermore you will be responsible for gathering requirements from partner team and customer stakeholders, translating them into AI problems for the engineering and data science teams to solve, driving execution of the work and shipping, and analyzing metrics to identify areas of improvement.

The role:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand AI feature requests, evaluate the impact, and help inform product engineering investment decisions
  • Create clarity by translating customer and stakeholder requirements into AI problems for engineering and data science teams to solve (define the what and the why of what needs to be done)
  • Drive execution of the feature by identifying and mitigating risks, unblocking obstacles, and managing stakeholder relationships
  • Drive shipping of the capability
  • Monitor and propose new metrics that will help drive insights for current investments and shipped capabilities
  • Drive best practices and processes for efficient and streamlined impact understanding


What you bring

  • 8+ years of related professional experience
  • Strong technical background with fluency in understanding AI capabilities
  • Passion for understanding customer pain points and rallying an engineering team to solve these pains
  • Experience with business applications such as ERP or CRM and understanding of gen AI technologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to think outside the box and roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
  • Exceptional collaborative teamwork abilities and leadership skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interface with engineers, stakeholders, executives, and customers
  • Fluency in English language - good German skills beneficial
