Job Description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

What you’ll do:

SAP Concur is seeking a highly motivated Marketing Analytics & Insights Data Architect to play a critical role in building a predictable, efficient, and scalable growth engine. This role owns the design and delivery of Marketing Intelligence solutions that enable data‑driven decision‑making across the global marketing organization, while advancing the analytics transformation and migration to SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC).

The ideal candidate brings deep hands‑on analytics expertise, strong systems thinking, and the drive to deliver meaningful outcomes early while steadily evolving capabilities over time. They are energized by owning complex problems end‑to‑end and translating marketing data into clear, actionable insights through high‑impact visualization and storytelling.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Define and evolve the Marketing Intelligence information strategy, aligning with SAP Concur and broader SAP data and analytics standards.

  • Own the end‑to‑end design and delivery of Marketing Intelligence solutions, partnering with marketing analysts, developers and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications, wireframes, data models, and production‑ready dashboards.

  • Design, deliver, and continuously improve reporting and analytics frameworks—including predictive and scenario‑based models and analyses—to inform execution and growth planning (e.g., pipeline performance, funnel health, retention).

  • Develop and manage high‑quality data assets, leveraging advanced querying and close collaboration with BI and data engineering teams to ensure performant, scalable data flows and models.

  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across Marketing Intelligence solutions, including testing, issue resolution, and operational excellence for owned dashboards.

  • Enable adoption and understanding of insights through effective data visualization, clear documentation, KPI definitions, and data storytelling that translate complex data and concepts into business‑ready narratives.

  • Identify and prioritize future‑focused capabilities, including AI‑enabled analytics use cases, while staying current on industry trends and best practices in BI, AI, and marketing analytics.

  • Develop and maintain team documentation for core reports, including marketing KPI definitions, data catalogues, and user guides. Be able to explain complex technical concepts in simple business terms (e.g. data governance, quality standards, and KPI definitions)

What you’ll bring:

  • Advanced Tableau, SQL (CTEs, window functions), and Python (Pandas, Basic scripting) required.

  • Snowflake or SAP Datasphere experience required. SAP Analytics Cloud experience preferred.

  • Ability to think in the abstract and understand the intricacies of a complex system and proficiently demonstrate ability to work with multiple and large datasets. Relational and cloud database, data modeling (star schema), and ETL/ELT design experience preferred.

  • Experience translating business problems into predictive analytics use cases (e.g., forecasting, churn, optimization), from defining inputs and metrics to enabling consumption.

  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of reporting objects (lead/contact, opportunity, account, etc.) and familiarity with marketing demand funnel and attribution models.

  • Strategic understanding of how Generative AI can enhance analytics and decision‑making (e.g., conversational BI, automated insights), with a focus on responsible use.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to simplify and explain complex ideas, processes, and data structures.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with experience collaborating cross‑functionally, delivering on deadlines, and enabling users through training and documentation.

  • Natural curiosity, and excitement to stay abreast with the latest marketing technology trends, tools (e.g. SAP Business Data Cloud) and best practices.

  • Displays a passion for what you do and a drive to improve.
