Meet your team:

S/4HANA Finance is a central piece of SAP’s flagship product and lies at the core of our vision of the Intelligent Enterprise, which brings together machine and human intelligence across all business functions to deliver value to our customers. S/4HANA Finance is built, in the first place, as a cloud product with quarterly release cycles and is also shipped as an On-Premise version. Line of Business (LoB) Finance is a global development organization responsible for delivering this next generation Finance solution and works closely together with partners and customers to enable superior future-proof business models and finance processes. Within LoB Finance the Group Reporting unit is developing a solution used by large globally active corporations to create consolidated financial results and to publish group related information to the stock market, management and investors. Our development teams are based in Paris, Shanghai, Brno, and Walldorf.

The Group Reporting solution comprises application parts residing within S/4HANA as well as components built on SAP Cloud Platform. Currently we’re seeking a Junior Developer to further strengthen one of our Brno scrum teams working in the S/4HANA environment applying agile software engineering practices.

What you'll do:

Upon joining our development scrum team as Junior Developer (f/m/d) you will be thoroughly trained in all technical, functional and business process related topics, which you require for a smooth start. An experienced colleague from the same team will be your mentor and happy to support you in taking over full responsibility for tasks such as

• Design, implement, test (automated and manually) and maintain specific product features, primarily in the S/4HANA backend (ABAP), and adhering to high quality standards required for developing cloud applications• Analyze and resolve issues identified during tests, upgrades or customer projects

• Contribute to quality assurance, test automation and performance improvements

• Analyze and resolve issues identified during tests, upgrades, or productive customer usage.

• Act as trusted advisor providing expertise to team members, product managers, management and other stakeholders.

• Ramp up your business process, technical and functional domain knowledge in selected areas of financial consolidation and S/4HANA Group Reporting, resp.

What you bring:

You have graduated in computer science, business informatics, engineering, natural sciences, mathematics or related field. You bring very good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one back-end programming language such as Python, JavaScript (Node.js), Java, C#, PHP, or Go is required

• Quick learning, outstanding analytical and complex problem-solving skills

• Fluency (written & spoken) in English

Preferred skills

• Knowledge in financial reporting, accounting or consolidation

• Experience with ABAP development

• Fiori and UI development skills

• Master / bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, business administration

or related field
