We are looking for an accomplished IT Technology Services Senior Specialist who is well versed in delivering consistent, high-quality results to join our Global Cloud Operations team. You will contribute to SAP's global strategy by supporting our customers with their cloud adoption journey as part of the SAP Global Cloud Operations team.

What you`ll do

  • You will represent SAP Global Cloud Operations in front of major SAP customers in the region MEE for technology and operations topics i.e. the face of SAP Cloud Operations.
  • In this role you will be responsible for technical and architectural discussions with the customer spanning the entire SAP technology stack, HA-DR topics and hyperscaler components as maybe applicable to the customer.
  • Support the operation of technical system landscapes according to contractual obligations of uptime ensuring stable business operations for customer.
  • Co-ordinate and support customer software maintenance tasks (bundled software patches, one off patches/upgrades)
  • Identify critical issues affecting customer landscapes, define action plan, and drive the resolution process. Lead root-cause analysis for high-severity issues and escalations impacting customer business operations.
  • Drive Capacity planning and performance benchmarking exercises wherever applicable.
  • Drive improvements that increase stability, quality, and maintainability of customer landscapes with a goal to improve customer satisfaction. Collaborate with other SAP units on topics affecting assigned customer.
  • Serve as customer’s trusted advisor and their voice within SAP Global Cloud Operations

What you bring

  • Minimum 6+ years of SAP Technical Administration experience (Preferably in the domain of SAP Netweaver / SAP HANA)
  • Good understanding of SAP HANA. Hands on experience is a PLUS.
  • Good understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and S/4HANA related migration paths and tools.
  • Exposure to hyperscaler technologies & experience in working with either one of Azure/AWS/GCP.
  • Experience in managing customer landscapes and regular software maintenance activities.
  • Ability to Own, Lead and coordinate operational tasks, escalations, process improvements. Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Operational planning/Change Management / Problem management principles.
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills in English, German Language is a PLUS.

Nice to Have

  • Linux knowledge – especially dealing with interactions of SAP software with the operating system.
  • Experience working at an SAP customer location.
  • Exposure to AI fundamentals.
