What you bring

You bring strong experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex, enterprise SaaS products, with a proven track record of improving execution, product quality, and system reliability.

You have deep expertise in distributed systems and cloud-native architectures, and experience building data-intensive products with complex workflows and integrations, particularly in domains such as financial systems, payments, or transaction processing. You understand the demands of building resilient systems at scale and prioritize observability, performance, and operational excellence.

You are passionate about applying modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted development and agentic systems, to transform how software is built and operated. You have experience designing or building agentic or semi-autonomous workflows, where systems can reason, take action, and continuously improve with minimal human intervention.

You understand what it takes to bring AI into production at scale. This includes building enterprise-grade AI systems that are reliable, observable, and predictable, and ensuring they operate safely within complex environments.

You have a strong appreciation for AI guardrails and responsible AI practices, including ensuring the accuracy and consistency of AI outputs, designing systems with appropriate control points and fallback mechanisms, enabling auditability and traceability of automated decisions, and managing risks related to data, model behavior, and system integration.

You are able to guide teams in building practical, scalable, and compliant AI-driven solutions, balancing innovation with the needs of enterprise customers for trust, stability, and governance.

You are a strong collaborator who partners effectively with Product, UX, and cross-functional stakeholders, and can influence at multiple levels of the organization. You invest in building talent, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability, and developing future leaders.

You bring a customer-first mindset and are motivated to solve real problems in invoice processing, reduce manual effort, and deliver simple, effective experiences in a complex domain.

Experience building or scaling agentic workflows, AI-driven orchestration, or intelligent automation systems in enterprise environments is highly valued.

What you’ll build

In this role, you will lead engineering for the Concur Invoice product, owning the end-to-end experience across invoice capture, processing, approvals, and payments.

Concur Invoice enables customers to automate accounts payable workflows at scale, but today still faces challenges with capture accuracy, operational reliability, and fragmented end-to-end experiences. Your mission is to modernize the product into an intelligent, autonomous system that simplifies and automates invoice processing.

You will drive the evolution of Invoice toward agentic workflows, where intelligent agents proactively extract, validate, route, and resolve invoices with minimal human intervention. This includes advancing AI-driven capture, decisioning, and orchestration across the full lifecycle.

A key focus will be building enterprise-grade AI capabilities, ensuring that these agentic systems operate reliably in real-world conditions with strong guardrails. You will define how AI works safely in production—balancing autonomy with control, auditability, and compliance—so customers can trust automated outcomes.

You will lead teams across Invoice Capture & e‑Invoicing, Core Invoice & Payments, and Procurement (PR/PO & Vendor), improving accuracy, system stability, and workflow automation while delivering a cohesive and guided product experience.

Your work will directly impact how customers reduce manual effort, improve financial control, and operate with greater speed, transparency, and confidence.
