Primary Purpose:

Oversee the global capital expenditure (CAPEX) programme for corporate real estate — including construction, office fit-out, relocations, and infrastructure upgrades — ensuring strategic alignment with SAP and GRF objectives, full governance over project data, reporting, and vendor management. Drive and implement innovation and strategy in this field.

Key Responsibilities :

Global Project Governance and Reporting

  • Oversee project reporting and management tools across the global portfolio.
  • Serve as lead administrator of the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool: manage users, resolve system issues, track user feedback, and plan enhancements.
  • Define and enforce expectations for project data reporting by regional teams, ensuring compliance with SAP global standards and guidelines for design, construction, sustainability, and branding.
  • Verify that project data and reflected in Business Cases and CapEx Requests are accurately entered in the PPM system and remain consistent throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and deliver consolidated project portfolio reports for GRF leadership; establish reporting cadence, structure, and metrics in alignment with executive requirements.

Project Strategy and Quality Assurance

  • Ensure global project strategies, priorities, and delivery standards align with GRF objectives and governance.
  • Conduct global performance assessments of project management practices to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and best practices suitable for standardization across regions.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of Business Cases and Project Change Requests,
  • Act as the final gate of review and approval for Capex Requests for Approval submissions before escalation to GRF leadership, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and full financial integrity of requests.
  • Support as expert business case preparation by confirming financial data accuracy and ensuring all requests clearly communicate business justification and scope.
  • Being the industry leader in Capex projects provide trainings to colleagues and ensure continuous improvements.

Execution Standards and Compliance

  • Maintain, update, and communicate global project execution, delivery, and compliance guidelines.
  • Develop and monitor global standards for project governance, reporting discipline, and adherence to approved strategies.
  • Oversee alignment of workplace design, brand, and sustainability requirements across all global projects.

Vendor and Contract Management

  • Establish, negotiate, and manage global vendor and service agreements for design, construction, and project management services.
  • Define vendor governance frameworks and key performance indicators to ensure global consistency, quality, and cost efficiency.

Financial and Operational Oversight

  • Own the global CAPEX programme: budgeting, cost forecasting, and capital allocation planning.
  • Track financial adherence to approved BCs, CapEx requests, and project change control procedures.
  • Benchmark cost, schedule, and quality metrics globally; lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Training & Education

  • Develop training programs for Project Teams
  • Capture lessons learned and best practices globally

Stakeholder and Leadership Alignment

  • Partner with regional real-estate, finance, procurement, and IT teams to ensure consistent project delivery.
  • Present consolidated performance updates, dashboards, and insights to GRF leadership.
  • Act as escalation point for cross-regional delivery or governance issues.
