Where you belong
The GPO - IT Hardware & Security team, part of the Global Procurement Organization, excels in business partnering with both internal and external stakeholders. This category is responsible for defining and executing global sourcing strategies in close collaboration with business owners, corporate legal, finance, and controlling, as well as managing suppliers worldwide. The team encompasses subcategories such as Compute, Storage, Supply-Chain, Cyber- and Physical Security, and End-User Equipment. We are seeking a motivated Category Buyer for Cyber Security with integrity and drive to perform in a young and dynamic team. This individual will report to the Head of Procurement, IT Hardware & Security and work closely with the Category Manager on Strategic Security procurement globally.
About the role
As a category buyer within the Security procurement, you will operate with global scope on strategic initiatives, work along the Category Manager to drive high complexity sourcing initiatives & projects and support to shape supplier strategies across the Security category. You will play a key part in strengthening procurement’s strategic contribution to the business while ensuring compliance, transparency, and sustainable value delivery.
What you’ll do
- Drive global, high-complexity procurement initiatives & projects across EUE & Services Spend alongside the Category Manager.
- Design and execute sourcing and supplier strategies balancing value, quality, innovation, and risk.
- Run and lead RFX processes and negotiations, including commercial and contractual terms.
- Actively manage strategic suppliers, supported by market intelligence and benchmarking.
- Partner closely with business stakeholders, providing procurement insight and advisory support.
- Ensure compliance across the Source-to-Pay process and applicable procurement policies.
- Where applicable, contribute to internal and external knowledge exchange.
What you bring
Required experience & qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant experience, ideally within IT Hardware, DC, Software and / or Technical Services.
- Experience running RFX processes, vendor negotiations, and contract management.
- Fluency in English verbally & written.
- University degree in business, economics, IT, engineering, supply chain, or a related field.
Skills that will be a PLUS
- Good Stakeholder collaboration and clear communication skills.
- Base understanding of supplier markets and value-drivers within IT.
- Ability to work in cross-functional and international environments.
- Ability to apply AI technologies in daily work, i.e.. generative AI and AI-driven decision making.
- Learning agility and comfort navigating change.
- Procurement or supply-chain certification (or equivalent experience).
- Structured decision-making and problem solving in complex, global environments.
