What you'll build:
This role sits at the intersection of AI-driven systems, interaction design, and large-scale experience architecture. As a Gen AI Interaction Engineer Expert (UX), you will define next-generation paradigms for autonomous agents, adaptive workflows, and intelligent interfaces. You’ll partner with senior product, engineering, and AI leaders to shape system behavior, influence data modeling decisions, and ensure scalable, human-centered agentic experiences.
Expectations and tasks
- Define and evolve core interaction paradigms for agentic and AI-driven experiences across surfaces.
- Shape data models and state schemas to align system behavior with user mental models and workflow needs.
- Develop high-fidelity prototypes demonstrating multi-agent orchestration, adaptive UI states, and reasoning transparency.
- Partner with senior leaders in Product, Engineering, and AI to influence roadmaps, architecture, and system constraints.
- Lead discovery, strategy, and alignment sessions across teams to uncover opportunities for agent-based workflows.
- Advance design systems to incorporate agent states, confidence levels, automation modes, and dynamic content patterns.
- Continuously experiment with AI tools to evolve organizational design workflows and prototyping velocity.
- Establish best practices for designing autonomous and semi-autonomous experiences with clarity, control, and trust.
What you bring:
You bring deep expertise in UX engineering, systems thinking, and AI-enhanced design. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, structuring undefined problem spaces, and establishing frameworks teams can align on. Your hybrid skillset allows you to explore agentic behaviors, model UX-state data, and prototype intelligent interactions that demonstrate strategy, feasibility, and user value.
Your strengths include:
- Principal-level interaction design and system modeling expertise.
- Experience with AI/ML products, agentic workflows, and autonomous UI behaviors.
- Ability to influence data modeling, schema alignment, and information structure to support interaction patterns.
- Advanced proficiency with generative and AI-assisted design tools (Figma, Figma Make, Claude Code, Vercel workflows).
- Ability to drive cross-functional clarity in ambiguous spaces and align teams around experience direction.
- Strong narrative and communication skills, expressing complex system behaviors through prototypes, diagrams, and storytelling.
About You
- 7+ years in UX engineering, interaction design, or hybrid design/engineering leadership roles.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating agentic systems, AI-informed prototypes, and platform-level experience strategy.
- Comfort working in fast-paced environments with ambiguous requirements and evolving AI capabilities.
- Experience shaping data structures, entity relationships, and state models that support complex interactions.
- Ability to guide teams through conceptual, strategic, and technical decision making without over-engineering.
