What you'll build
Design and ship features end-to-end across TypeScript backend services (Express + oRPC) and the React 19 shell
Own contract-first API design with oRPC and Zod, keeping backend and frontend fully type-safe
Write co-located tests (Vitest, MSW, Playwright) and hold the ≥80% coverage bar (≥90% for external API libs)
Ship through GitHub Actions CI, ArgoCD, and Kubernetes; debug live traffic via Istio mesh and Cloud Logging
Contribute to shared libraries in our monorepo and help keep the ~50-package workspace healthy
What you bring
3+ years of professional post-graduation experience building production TypeScript applications
Backend: Node.js, Express, REST/RPC contract design, Zod (or similar schema validation)
Frontend: React 18/19, a modern state management library (Zustand, Redux, Jotai, or similar), React Router, React Query, Vite, Tailwind CSS
Testing: Vitest or Jest, MSW, Playwright, faker; comfortable writing tests alongside features
Monorepo workflows (pnpm workspaces, Turborepo, Nx, or Yarn workspaces)
Strong grasp of TypeScript strict mode and clean Git hygiene (Conventional Commits, small PRs)
Evidence of extending an AI coding workflow beyond default usage — custom prompts, skills, agents, MCP servers, IDE integrations, or comparable tooling contributions. Tool choice (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, Aider, or your own) matters less than the pattern of turning workflows into artifacts.

Where you belong
We're Built-In Support at SAP. We build the platform that delivers contextual help, case management, and expert chat directly inside SAP applications. Our monorepo powers ~15 microservices and a React UI used across the SAP Fiori ecosystem, integrating with intelligent solutions for the customer support ecosystem from data to production.
Our infrastructure runs on Kubernetes, with Istio as the service mesh, ArgoCD for GitOps deployments, Docker for containerization, and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.

Is technology your genuine interest? Not a job, not a paycheck — an actual curiosity about how systems work. That energy shows in the code, and we can tell.
Will you extend our AI tooling, not just use it? Within your first weeks we expect you to ship reusable skills, hooks, or MCP integrations that other engineers on the team use daily — and contribute to our AGENTS.md guidance, not just follow it. Claude Code is our current daily driver, but the durable skill is designing agentic workflows: turning repeated work into tooling the whole team benefits from.
Candidates who share a public code profile (GitHub, GitLab, Gitee, CODING.net, or similar) or can point to innovation / side-project / hackathon work have a significantly higher chance of moving forward. Show us what you build when nobody's assigning it.
