• This is a hybrid role based out of SAP Sao Leopoldo office, working in-office with the team 3 days per week.

What you'll bring

You are an Agile product owner with strong experience in customer-facing software delivery and a background in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering — or equivalent experience. You bring strong communication skills, a collaborative approach, and the creative thinking and learning agility to adapt as the role evolves.

• Mastery of Agile product ownership: backlog management, user stories, acceptance criteria, and the judgment to prioritize across competing stakeholder demands.
• A hands-on approach to AI: you integrate autonomous agents into daily workflows, engineer prompts and context for reliable outputs, and build AI-assisted automation to accelerate delivery.
• The analytical ability to turn ambiguous business needs into clear, actionable requirements — and the decisiveness to move forward without perfect information.
• Technical fluency to engage credibly with architects and engineers. Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) or SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
• A proven track record of mentoring product owners and influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Fluency in Portuguese and professional proficiency in English; Spanish is a plus.

What you'll build

You will own product vision end-to-end — shaping what gets built, setting priorities, and ensuring every engagement delivers real customer value.

• Turn complex, conflicting requirements into a clear, prioritized backlog — keeping customers, architects, and engineers aligned from sprint to release.
• Define acceptance criteria and quality standards, review delivered work, and uphold governance and documentation requirements throughout every engagement.
• Lead Agile ceremonies, manage backlog priorities and dependencies, and maintain full transparency with stakeholders at all levels.
• Evaluate Generative AI and agentic AI capabilities and translate them into backlog decisions that deliver measurable customer value.
• Design and deliver production-grade AI Agents and Assistants that advance the SAP Autonomous Enterprise vision, operating within a Forward Deployed Model to drive outcomes directly at the customer.
• Mentor other product owners and raise the standard of product thinking across the team.

Where you belong

Customer Industry Solutions is a strategic engineering unit within SAP Industry AI, based at SAP Labs Latin America in São Leopoldo, Brazil. The team builds enterprise AI solutions at the intersection of agentic AI, cloud, and industry processes — working directly with global customers. This is a hybrid role — three days per week in the São Leopoldo office. You will operate with high autonomy and define the roadmap, not inherit one.
