SAP Concur, market leader in integrated travel, expense and invoice management, is looking for Software Engineering Managers to help making the product even stronger! You are organized, positive, creative, and focused on the user at all times. You have a good amount of knowledge on Software Development cycle, being able to build a high performing team. You also have experience with Product Management, being able to support the team to build the best product.
The Value You Deliver:
Work effectively with Product Managers to own & ensure delivery against agreed priorities.
Build high performing teams by attracting, hiring, retaining and coaching top talent.
Grow team and guide the career development of team members, including both technical and interpersonal skills necessary for being effective and successful in a professional -software engineering organization.
Provide systematic and direct individual performance feedback focused on recognition of achievement and opportunities for growth.
Own cloud services end to end, delivering distributed systems using AWS services and best practices such as zero-downtime production deployments, canaries, frequent deployments, and feature-flag-driven development.
Build and maintain strong and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
You will lead delivery of AI-enabled products by translating strategy into roadmaps, building the right team and processes, and ensuring production models are scalable, observable, cost-effective, and compliant with safety and privacy standards.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's/Master’s Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, etc.).
Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end solutions from design through delivery.
Very good understanding of one or more of Golang, Java, Kotlin, Typescript and other modern programming languages.
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with technical product managers, architects, and technical teams across different product areas.
Knowledge of secure coding practices, compliance, open-source technologies and frameworks.
DevOps mentality with an understanding of Continuous Delivery and Observability
Good knowledge with Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, and a broad array of AWS primitives such as EC2, AMIs, EKS, Dynamo, etc.
Strategic understanding of AI/ML capabilities and trade-offs: when to use LLMs, embeddings/RAG, fine-tuning vs. prompt engineering, and off-the-shelf APIs vs. custom models.
